Found design flaw that probably explains other negative reviews.
I really wanted to like this lock, since it is one of the few that has all of the features I want and the two that I definitely don't want. If it worked as designed, it would be a 4-Star lock.I read several negative reviews, before buying this lock. But, as an engineer and former locksmith (which helped me in my magic act), I was able to determine that more than a few of those negative reviews were actually caused by the user, during installation. That left only a few really bad reviews. But now that I have the lock in, I found a design flaw that likely explains all of the remaining negative reviews. The Problem:When the bolt is retracted (unlocked), the lock keeps announcing "locked - unlocked - locked - unlocked…"Cause:The switch (sensor) that detects when the bolt is retracted, is mounted in such a position that the lock must be forcibly retracted, before it senses that it is retracted. Just "touching" the interior knob, after the bolt is retracted can move the sensing arm out of position just enough that the sensor thinks that the lock is unlocked, even though the bolt is still fully retracted. But since the trigger arm is then right at the edge of the sensor, the sensor eventually senses that it is locked again. But if you touch the door or lock again, it will repeat this cycle. If someone knocks on the door, it will repeat this cycle. In fact, it will sometimes repeat this cycle, for no apparent reason.Result:The result of this design defect is that if the electronics thinks that the bolt is locked, pressing the "#" to lock the door does nothing. It also disables the auto-locking feature, since auto-lock should not try to lock a door that it thinks is already locked. But in both cases, the door is NOT locked. The mechanism only thinks that it's locked.Other Review Points —Build quality:The exterior is well built. I think the metal is zinc. It feels like it would stand up to all but the most aggressive physical attack. There does not appear to be any obvious way to subvert the electronics of the lock, in the exterior piece. There is a rubber gasket around the outside, which makes the lock acceptable for outdoor installation. The glass keypad is also well lit, for daytime or nighttime use. But the way they keep prices down, is that the inside portion of the lock is made of plastic. Also, much of the interior mechanisms are made of plastic. Even so, it seems quite sturdy. Keep in mind that the inside portion of the lock is not what bad guys attack, so plastic is not that big an issue. It is only an issue for longevity of the mechanism.Features —Keypad:The keypad seemed to be quite easy to use. Some people have posted that it was too sensitive, but I did not find that to be the case. It was also easy to program and included voice prompts. Just watch the online videos. You can setup a permanent guest code, like for children in the household, or a one-time-use code, like for a friend who is dropping something off, when you are not home. It's very functional, in that regard.Key Fobs:It comes with two key fobs. As expected, they are not previously programmed to the lock. But programming them to the lock is simple. Just be aware that (at least in my limited experience) only one fob can be programmed as "Administrator". But programming one admin and one guest fob took just a few seconds. Also note that the lock speaks and displays the ID of each programmed fob. From what I can tell, that mean you can delete a lost fob by number, without having the fob present. I cannot tell if the key fobs are waterproof.High Security Keyway:One of the reasons I bought this lock was that, unlike many more expensive electronic locks, this one has a "high-security keyway." Many other brands include a standard Schlage "C" or "E" keyway. Although those keyways can be somewhat difficult to pick, a skilled locksmith (or burglar) can pick such a lock, even if it includes a mushroom pin or two. I recently picked a Schlage "C", with a mushroom pin, in 33 minutes and it has been decades since I had any reason to try to pick a lock. I did it because I wanted to determine if a digital lock, with Schlage "C" keyway was secure. In my opinion, it is NOT. Other use a Kwikset Smart Key keyway (it should be called Dumb Key). Although a Smart Key keyway is not at all easy to pick, it is very easy to rake. The keyway on this lock is not what you would call top grade security. But, it's well beyond the level of security that you would expect of a keyway in an $80 digital lock.*NO* WiFi or Bluetooth:One of the problems that I have encountered, in searching for a new smart door lock is that the vast majority of manufacturers have gone WiFi and Bluetooth crazy and no longer off the more secure versions of their locks, without those weaknesses. In fact, Manhaoya makes a version of this lock that includes WiFi. But they were smart enough to continue to offer a non-WiFi version of the lock, for those who rank security above convenience. The problem with both WiFi and Bluetooth, is that both can be hacked. In fact, I'm one of the people who can do that. Before retiring, I was an IT director and IT security consultant. In that regard, I had to become a "white hat" hacker. Even though it has been some years since I have had to employ those skills, I'm sure that I could hack a WiFi lock (over the internet) or Bluetooth lock (with a sniffer at 30 to 50 feet). The problem this creates is that both could be done from a distance, in advance of approaching the lock. The thief could just walk in, since the lock would already be subverted. This lock has no such weakness. Conclusion:This would be a very secure lock and worth well over $80, if they ever manage to fix the door lock condition sensor. It would be even better, if they used more metal in the interior mechanism. I would like to give this lock 5-Stars. But the lock condition sensor design flaw makes it unacceptable. Even so, because of the other features that are implemented so well, I could not give it just 1-Star. I'm giving it 2-Stars, for potential. It's probably an easy fix, so I will keep this lock in mind, for the next time I move. But I'll only buy it if there are reviews that indicate that the sensor problem has been fixed.

Good choice
The media could not be loaded. Very very satisfied with this smart lock. It has three models to open the door: scanning card, input keywords and use the key(if it has been locked inner).Installation is very easy, maybe the instruction can be improved more perfect. My husband spent about 30mins to install it and make the keyword. We have used it for tow days, it is running well. The price is nice , for I also compared with other items. It is worthy it

Horrible product!
First off the directions are TERRIBLE. Luckily I had a capable person installing the lock who wHas experience in installing these types of things...but it was not clear and he even said it was not the easiest install. Second, once installed I couldn't get the unit to work properly and have tried COUNTLESS times to activate the lock with no success. I have found one video online that is no help and there is no customer support for this product. I am now forced to uninstall and purchase something new in place because it is NOT user friendly at all and has not even worked properly once for me. I've just had to reset it EVERYTIME I want to set it up. It does not work and I'm so angry I spent the money I did to not be able to use it. Now my return window has closed and it's just trash. Don't waste your money. In hindsight I would have just spent twice as much for a product made to be user friendly and with better instructions.

Loud when locking and complicated code/card setup
Wanted to love this product but the installation was so complicated. First of all, you get two key cards but you have to individually set each one up with the super complicated process to set up. Now, after only a few months of use, the unlocking process seems to get stuck most days and every time it locks it does this horrible sounds! Like it was struggling to lock and it is super loud startling my older neighbors. Aside from that it does the job.

It’s a good option with very good features.
Setting up the lock was fairly easy after installation. The one important thing that was not listed in the directions was how to gain access the manual key on the deadbolt. I nearly damaged the touchscreen trying to remove the cover. The features are good but this product needs an app for use with a phone.

Can't beat this for the price
Updating this review, because they have actually switched the product. It was a non smart key pad entry that they changed completely. For the record the lock worked great, and I gave it five stars, but there is no reason why that should be applied to this new one.

Durable and easy to install
Quite happy with this purchase. Lock fit my door perfectly (standard sizing) I've had these issues previously with other locks. Overall Pretty solid. The touch is sensitive enough. Not cheap feel at all. Using it indoor. For my office. But looks built for outdoor use for sure. Good product.
