Every winter, I bring in my yucca. Every winter, it molts 40% of it's leaves. I've underwatered, I've over watered, I've babied it. Nothing worked. Finally I decided to try to buy a light. I know NOTHING about lights. After reading reviews, I went with this one. Here are some pros: gives off a soothing violet light, timer function is wonderful (comes on at the same time, every day for 3 hours), affordable, and completely stopped my yucca from molting. The only con: the clip and wires are not sturdy enough for the weight of the lights. I have to clip it on my pot and it took a few minutes of caressing the lights into the right spot so they didn't droop to the floor. It maybbe different if you have a desk or ledge to clip to but I do not. Currently, I am buying two more to try and use with a few other plants that do not like the winter indoors.

I wanted to see if i could grow plants in a dark corner of my office with this light. At least i will be sure it works because there is barely any other light. I leave it on for 8-10hrs per day and the plants love it, they dont stretch and the flexibility of the lights lets you aim them at each leaf. The baby Alocasia i put there back in January has outgrown the spot in five months! Very impressed considering it was pretty cheap. The magenta light can be intrusive for some but i like it and so do the plants, which is was really matters. The lamps run slightly hot so dont rest them on the leaves.

The lights themselves are fantastic, make my little plants brilliantly green and healthy. The bendy arms however aren’t stiff enough to hold themselves up in certain positions. Need to prop them against something a lot of the time if you need to adjust the angle or height you want your light from the plants.

Overall this product is great for the price! My plants seem very happy now that I’m rotating this light between plants and I’ve definitely noticed a difference! The only thing I will add, that’s not really a negative for me as I don’t use it, would be the timer. It seems to go off and on within its own schedule and not the one you set for it. I only turn this on when I’m home, so again, doesn’t effect me much.. but may for those using it while they are not home. Overall super happy with this purchase!

The media could not be loaded.  After less than a year owning this and using infrequently, it now won't stay on. It blinks randomly or only blinks like in the video.

Lamp works great! Has a clamp to to attach to a table/desk and stands about 18” above the desk. It’s fantastic for providing light to our bonsai tree and aloe plant at the same time! I have not tried the timer yet because I accidentally threw out the directions haha

This was very disappointing!First of all, the timer feature is all wrong. If I set it up for 12 hours, the light barely stays on for 8 hours. Can’t trust it with any plants on its own, I’m down to turning it on and off manually. The lights are way too heavy for the flimsy flexible arms. Trying to keep them pointing to a specific location is all but imposible as the arms cannot hold the weight in place. The thing is so heavy that if you cramp the lamp to a horizontal post, the entire lamp rotates on it and ends upside down despite securing it tightly. Now for the brightness: it is adjustable, but even in the highest setting my plants are growing way slower then when I was using a simple light for seasonal affective disorder.The lamp comes with no instructions, the user is left to figure out the controller on its own, which is not that simple when some of the features (like the timer) are defective to begin with.In summary, this lamp is garbage and should be avoided.

I like that I was able to adjust it and clip it on to the sides so I can maximize the amount of plants I can reach with the space I have.
