Knightsbridge SN8420 20A Junction Box 4-Terminals White

Why would this be considered weatherproof as in the feature ratings? No it isn't.Used to add an extra loft light for which it was more than adequate. Secured to a ceiling joist by wood screws using the two knock outs in it's base.Each screw terminal, look to be brass, easily accomodated three conductors (solid copper) in 1mm2 flat twin and earth cable.Did as intended.Something I don't understand is this "Shattered when trying to snip the first cable access tab." from a 1 star review. It isn't necessary to "snip" any tabs. The top cover rotates to select 2, 3 or 4 cable entry points.

Feels good quality and robustly made The 4 terminals are sturdy and the screws that secure the wires in place have a firm, positive grip. Good value ensuring there's no need to scrimp on the expense of electrical fittings.

Ridiculous delivery time. The item appears well made and sturdy but will not buy again due to ridiculously long delivery time.

Sturdy and good quality. Used it to make a separate socket for an NVR hidden in the cloakroom. Takes both 4 mm and 2.5 mm cables securely, no problem. The middle of doesn't brake that easily (as it usually does with cheap junction boxes), it will withstand enough torque to keep the lid tight. It isn't "watherproof" by the way, don't know why Amazon is trying to rate it. Don't install it where exposed to rain or fluids, use it indoor.
