Beautiful book!

The book binding has been ripped apart after 3-4 readings. Although the content is good (photographs definition and printing quality could be better) book binding is not premium quality.

As I have been to Istanbul many times and love the Ottoman style, this book was a great disappointment. I am an Interior designer. The photography was not good and many shots were of the same things i.e. the same blue and white vases. In general I thought the rooms were grubby and the ornaments shabby, and certainly not chic. If one wanted to buy a good book on Ottoman chic, then buy the book by Alidad which I bought on Amazon, superb style and imagination in this wonderful book. I do not recommend this "Ottoman Chic" book and regret having bought it.

Sumptuous exotic interiors ... only complaint is I wanted MORE. The author shares his own homes with dedication but I would have liked further exotica. However i still flick through it and I recommend you do too. There are not enough books where one feels truly indulged.

Beautiful coffee table book, all about the pictures and not the text. Seems most of it is about the author's place, lots of repetition of pictures of the same rooms from different angles.
