I used primer to make sure that this makeup would stay on but I just loved how true the color was even on my brown skin. I even put it on my husband who is white and the colors were basically the same. Except I didn't get to put primer on him and so it didn't stay on him throughout the night. So definitely prime!

First of all, this little thing will last for decades.I was Gamora for Halloween, and I purchased the costume- which means I only needed to "paint" my head, neck, and hands. I could probably still sell the thing as brand new, that's how little it used, and I had it pretty dark. Probably did 3 "layers".The one thing I wanted to note is that it did not wash off as easily as others said. It came off my hands and rubbed off on people a little throughout the night, but it actually didn't wash off super easily. It was easy enough that I would do it again, but it definitely confirmed for me NOT to use it on children- cuz scrubbing is uncomfortable or even abrasive sometimes.I forgot to "set" it with either the spray or baby powder that people talked about- so I don't know if that would have kept it from rubbing off on my son, for instance, when I gave him a hug and he had a smear on his forehead.What I LOVED was that it didn't feel like "halloween" makeup that I grew up with. My skin felt like skin. It was never uncomfortable, irritating, hardening, crackling, nothing like that. Very pleasant and natural feeling.Little kids will stare, be prepared. No one knows what to think of green skin!Definitely used a Norwex body cloth to get it out of my ears, it was perfect! Highly recommend!

This stuff works AMAZING! I needed it to be Gamora as part of our Ragnar relay trail running team Ragnardians of the Galaxy. I wanted to be able to run the whole 48 hours in full costume so I needed something easy to apply that STAYS ON and still looks good after many hours, that is also breathable enough to not make my face crusty 😂 this little compact was beyond perfect!!!! I applied it with a magic eraser (which is all I had, would use a beauty blender sponge next time) and a little water. Obviously I wasn’t going for a professional look and only took 15 minutes to get ready, but I am sure if you were more careful with applying it you’d get professional looking results. It went on smoothly, it’s easy to blend and you can layer multiple times to get the coverage you want. It held up over 48 hours as I ran 16 miles, got rained on, slept in a sleeping bag, and sweated a LOT. Once it dried, it didn’t rub off on my clothes or random things I touched. I put it on my entire face, neck, upper body, belly, arms, and lower legs, and did a few touch ups throughout the weekend, and the compact is still full so I know I could be Gamora many more times before this runs out lol. The cleanup was simple, just soap and water and I got everything back off in one shower. I highly recommend this brand to anyone who needs long-lasting, comfortable body paint at a good price. I should add that I hardly EVER bother to leave a review on Amazon, so the fact that I’m leaving this hopefully shows you how impressed I am!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I absolutely LOVED this body paint! My husband & I went as the Guardians of the Galaxy for my niece’s super-hero themed 10th bday party, and this green paint worked PERFECT for Gamora. Totally made the look, got constant compliments all night! Took to my dark skin perfectly, went on quick & didn’t itch not ONCE all night. Pro tip - use this powder WET. This stuff works best when painted on wet. I used it with a spray bottle of water & makeup brush, constantly spraying the powder about every 3-5 strokes. Just be careful not to take off any bottom layers of paint when applying the second. Just FYI. Worked so nice! And was also fun to do, lol.This was an absolutely easy & great paint choice for Gamora. My niece kept running-up hugging & beaming at me saying “You look JUST like her!!”, Lol! Her joy made it totally worth it. Don’t hesitate, this paint is awesome. Buy it!

The best product ever!! I used it for my Elphaba costume for Halloween this year. You can use it wet or dry, but I found using it by wetting my foundation brush first worked much, much better. You just need to wait about a minute or 2 between coats to make sure your bottom layer dries first before building on top of it. This will prevent streaking. For my entire face, neck, ears and both hands up to the wrists... it took me only about 30 minutes to apply and become Elphaba, not the 2 hours I had planned for. Wonderful product, and would definitely repurchase. Highly recommend!

I bought this in green to make my 6 year old look like the Wicked Witch of the West. We used the makeup twice on her and once on me and I can't recommend it enough. While this is a powder compact, it works best wet. After three applications, I learned the best thing to do is buy a cheap kitchen sponge, keep it damp, rinse it often, and apply this wet. When wet, you can layer and get a more opaque finish. It really stays in place; we used it on hands and wrists, face, and I made my whole neck, collarbone, and one shoulder green and it stayed even with hugging, eating candy, and my daughter running around and rubbing her face and doing as kids do. All this, and it washed off super easy and didn't irritate either of our eyes! This picture is from the first time we used it; the second time we better mastered an even application. And we didn't even make a dent in the compact, there's plenty to use for future events!

This worked well. I needed to apply several layers, blending and blending and blending to achieve the smooth look I wanted, but it worked.I wet a cosmetic sponge, squeezed out excess, then dipped it into the cake makeup, and then applied.Best of all, it washed RIGHT OFF with soap and water. I bought the GREEN color for my Medusa/Poison Ivy/Whatever Halloween costume.I didn't give 5 stars because I would have preferred fuller coverage without putting layers and layers. Also, my green makeup became very blotchy looking several hours later.

It turned out the way I wanted, good product.Need to load brush though.
