Love this thing. Works perfect.
Read all the reviews about sticking and not cooking correctly. My first test worked beautifully. First I melted a small amount of real butter in it, 20 seconds. Cracked two eggs inside and scrambled them. Microwaved for 1 minute per the instructions. Mixed per instructions. Microwaved additional 10 seconds. If I wanted to wait a minute I am confident the eggs would have been done without the additional 10 seconds. The eggs were perfect. Light and buttery. Little bit of water and paper towel and its clean. No stick. Probably the butter I melted first. I have not and will not test it without butter as the thought of eggs without butter is just crazy talk. Update Test 2: 3 eggs, shredded cheese. Same pre melted butter....awesome. I would add the cheese in between the first 1:40 and additional :20 seconds. When mixed from the beginning there was a great cheese flavor but barely any cheese texture. The big light fluffy buttery blob came out of the thing in one piece. Fully and evenly cooked to perfection.

Egg-Tastic Is The Best & Fastest & Simplest Way To Make Great Eggs With Zero Hassle - Excellent !!! I Love It !!!
This is so excellent. It shaves off so much time from having to heat up a frying pan & make eggs the long way around. I have nothing bad to say about this product. I love it so much !!! I have 2 of them by the way so I can have them cooking simultaneously in the same microwave side by side for twice the tasty eggs ! I use this along with the excellent first rate five start product of mine called "Bacon Wave" microwave bacon cooker also sold here on amazon.com. I have 2 Bacon Wave microwave bacon cooker as well. These 2 products go together so nicely for the eggs & bacon fanatics that don't like all the hassle of cooking breakfast for a really long time & these are for the most basic breakfast cookers like myself & avoids all the most time consuming & long way around making breakfast. Egg-Tastic & the Bacon Wave microwave bacon cooker go together like 2 peas in a pod. I would give this product a million starts of approval if I could !!! I love it !!!!

Works very well but must have oven mitts to remove from microwave
So far we are very pleased with this purchase, sometimes these as seen on TV items don't work near as well as they show. But the Egg-Tastic has been very great, it cooks eggs to perfection like advertised but it does take a little longer then they recommend but they do turn our wonderful and cooked to perfection The only downfall is that the the egg-tastic is to hot to touch, I was hoping our 12 year old would be able to cook his own eggs in a rush, but with the location of our microwave in our apartment and this downfall we will not let him use it. That is the reason for our 4 star review, but other than that this item is everything that the infomercials have described.

Does the job.
I liked this as an idea, especially since you can whisk your eggs right in the container. It did the job and cooked the eggs quickly, however, you really have to not put in too much. It says up to 4 eggs, but I found that when I did that (and didn't put anything past the max fill line) that while the eggs cooked and fluffed up, it kept popping the lid right off the jar. Also, adding cheese made for a soupy mess and longer cook time and the more you cook the eggs the more rubbery and bad tasting they become. The body of this is ceramic so it will be very hot when done and because of it's round shape, I found getting it out of the microwave quite difficult. On the plus side, clean up was a snap. I will give it another try with less eggs and update my review later.

Eggs are good ... and this tool will help you eat more of them! Love it!
I am enjoying this. Experiment. I'm pretty good at following instructions, so... the first time I used it I loaded it up with 2 eggs and put in in my 1000w microwave for 1 minute, thinking that would be safe. Well, toward the end of the cooking time, I heard this "thunk" from my microwave and looked over to see the eggs had risen enough to push the top off! :-) No damage done and the eggs were edible. The second time, I reduced the time for two eggs to 50 seconds and stood there and watched it. The eggs puffed up at about 45-50 seconds. I stopped the microwave and took the eggtastic out. The eggs looked great at 45 seconds, but I put them back for an addition 5 seconds. Perfect. The only addition was freeze dried chives. Delicious. Not overcooked. I know I'm going to enjoy playing with this new toy! Breakfast is going to be fun. With this tool and the "pre-cooked" bacon readily available, bacon and eggs are no longer a messy, time-consuming task for us working folk. The top part of the container can be handled, but it's safer to use potholders. I either wipe the interior with a buttered finger or an olive-oil moistened paper towel and have had no clean-up problems. Of course, leaving cooked egg residue standing in anything is asking for problems. Remember to remove all the silicone (orange) stuff (the base cover and the ring around the lid) before washing. I have no dishwasher, so everything is washed by hand.

Egg-Tastic is a Bust. Don't waste your money (as I did).
I wanted to like this - I just wanted a simple, easy poached egg for lazy/busy day breakfasts. The box advertises it's poached egg capability, and shows a perfectly done poached egg photo but DO NOT be fooled into buying this for poached eggs. This is just a small lidded ceramic piece on par with dollar store ceramics. There are no instructions to poach an egg in this vessel (I now know why- because it can't poach anything decently!) and sparse instructions on scrambled eggs. I researched how to poach an egg in one from a blog online and I've tried repeatedly to so do but the quality is no better than if you cracked an egg on a saucer and put it in the microwave. When poached, the yolks became golf ball hard, whites runny and translucent around the overdone yolks. I tried cooking for less than a minute and then leaving the egg in the steam and water (investing more than three times the time I would have used doing the job correctly to begin with) and basically I now have ugly egg drop soup that my Great Dane is backing away from as I type this. I tried six eggs and not a one is appetizing or properly done. Before you ascribe this disaster to my poor kitchen skills, I worked my way through law school as a chef. I know how to make lovely eggs- shame on me for wanting a shortcut to a poached egg on busy mornings. Thanks to the manufacturer for putting that sticker on so well that I had to buy adhesive remover to get it off ("please remove before using" sticker on the lid). The only positive is that the item was well packed for shipping and didn't break. It seems a pain to clean if anyone is still reading. An average man might not be able to clean it because it's small and I wouldn't put egg mess in the dishwasher (top shelf dishwasher recommended) unless you want it to become cement. Wish it was a tad larger do I could pot some basil in it and get some use out of the wretched thing.

Pretty Good
I bought this on amazon almost a year ago and never used it, but today I decided to try it. It works very well, I used 3 extra large organic eggs and nothing else, and needed to cook them closer to 2 minutes to get them harder. I whisked them a lot beforehand but there were still areas of only cooked yolk and only cooked egg white when I cut into them after cooking. I decided to use a spoon and pull them out onto a plate when they had cooled a little bit (not a fan of burning my mouth, I don't drink coffee at all, as many people do who don't mind it being steaming). I immediately put the cooker in the sink after running the hot water tap so I wasn't putting cold water into it right after use (didn't know if it would crack if I did). When I used it, I put it on a microwaveable plate and used two potholders to remove the plate and cooker after opening the microwave door and letting everything sit for a minute. The results were good, especially since I didn't use any butter to cook the eggs. Cooking spray might be a good idea as some have said.

Great! (but I was skeptical)
My husband saw this advertised on TV, thought it would be good to try. I was skeptical and reluctant (we don't need more gadgets and quirky stuff, especially in the kitchen -- I'm trying to clear out those items!), but I relented to humor him. Well, now I am eating my words, AND lots of yummy egg dishes. Our live-in grandsons (11 and 16) are very enthusiastic, too. This cooks the eggs perfectly -- with or without bell pepper, other veggies, chunks of ham, cheese, whatever. Two or three eggs, slightly beaten (enough to break the yolks), with or without add-ins, then cook in microwave for approx. 2 minutes (basic time based on # of eggs, e.g. 140 seconds for 3 eggs, then stir, then add increments of 20 seconds until done). Very easy. No overcooked or browned edges, just light and tasty. Only downside: While the yellow top and bottom stay cool, the ceramic (white) portion of container does get hot and needs careful handling. If you were cooking same meal for several people, the Egg-tastic would not be very useful, but if you want a quick single serving, or if individuals want different add-ins (one wants onions and peppers, another wants ham and cheese), this is a helpful tool. Great way to give growing kids a quick and healthful meal or "snack" -- and the guys in this household actually choose the eggs often now (and eat less ice cream!). We own two of these so we can be cooking in one while preparing the other. We use them often.

Great!!
This is fantastic for quick and easy scrambled eggs. Just break the shells and drop the eggs in, mix with a fork (or milk and whatever else you like) and microwave for one minute 20 seconds on high for two eggs. The amounts and times are included in the instructions. Use oven mitts to handle the item after, as the outside is hot (as stated). Best part - you can eat out of this container - just remove the lid and mix a little with a fork. No need for a plate! To wash - just leave in the sink with water in it and a drop of dish detergent. After a few minutes (or right away) - it easily washes clean. Great product!
