Interesting.
Bacon puts into words some philosophical ideas I've thought of but didn't know how to articulate. This is one very smart man.

Faded broken print
Print looks like it came from an old typewriter running out of ribbon ink. Font size is OK, but the print has a lot of broken char. and is not that easy to read.If I can make one critique of Bacon's methodology, is the lack of solid examples and illustrations to give substance to his abstractions. It is really tough to get a 'sense' of what all his loquacity points to.Undoubtedly, he was pointing out a new means of doing research and making proof of experiments, but he would have done well to give some examples. The text is rich in ideas about thinking, but nothing much of a solid foundation to demonstrate his theories by example in real life.

A must-have for every home library
Very readable version of Bacons masterpiece. You can’t beat the price, either.

The scanned print was fuzzy and the paper like newsprint.

si te gustan los clásicos
este edición no es para gente normal, solo para aquellos raros individuos conscientes de lo que representa el pasado y de lo difícil que es el progreso de la cultura y lo facil que se ven los resultados de ese avance.

THE FIRST TRUE METHOD GIVEN TO MAN OF DISCOVERING ACTUAL SCIENTIFIC TRUTHS
The book itself is 5 stars (and more, if there were more stars) - The author gave us - for the first time in history - a concrete and very honest method of obtaining knowledge and certainties, by developing the scientific method (by induction) of research and discovery.(What would really make this a top-rate book, is if an editor had inserted a glossary of terms for quick reference at the back of the book, to clarify the meanings of certain words as used by the author in the context of the book).
