Work and Play, I do both in this chair.
Hello Review Reader,Pros/Cons/Pref section included for faster review if TL:DR. Also, jump to the end for the customer service part. It's great.I purchased the Ironman version of the chair in August of 2020. The pandemic was in full swing and I was fortunate enough to be in a position that my company allowed us to work from home (still do). Working from home was putting additional stress on my old DX Racer. As you can see in the pic, the chair was peeling and that was making a constant mess that I was having to sweep etc. I decided to replace my old chair and checked with DX first though they didn't have the same model that I was using so decided to see what else was out there. That's when I found the Neo Chair options.Because I work, stream, and then game even more after I turn the stream off, I am in the chair upwards of 15+ hours a day several times a week. The weekends are less since those are my days off. I still game and at times stream on the weekends.Positives:Price PointCustomer Service (more on this after the quick notes)Overall ComfortChair Cover Durability (I have yet to see any peeling after almost two years)Con:As some other review state, be careful when leaning forward, like to pick something up off the floor. I've taken the spill a couple of times. More embarrassing than anything else. It definitely takes a purposeful lean to do so. I have not experienced a time where it was unexpected.Personal Preference (Lou specific):Larger Wheels: I have tile in my home office but the previous owners didn't lay them as level as would be desired. Sometimes I have to give an extra umph to move between two specific ones.Leg Rest Extend Longer: For me it doesn't have the value I thought it would. It definitely works but doesn't quit line up where I would prefer for my comfort.Thicker Seat Cushion: First off, the chair absolutely meets the standard for what to expect from a racing/gaming chair. This is pretty common in the industry (we have a Secret Labs chair in my wife's home office and I would say the same about that one) it seems a bit hard for long sessions. I use an additional cushion for added padding to meet my comfort. My old DX was specifically designed to have more cushion which is why I looked for it again (discontinued) when I needed a chair.Look, I'm in this chair (in it as I type) a lot. Just under a year of owning the chair I had an issue with one of the welds breaking. This is an anomaly for any gaming chair and is in no way indicative of quality questions. I got ahold of Neo Chair through Amazon messages and they only asked for a pic to ensure they would be able to provide the best service. I sent the pic and they immediately sent me out a replacement back for the chair. No cost to me.A week or so ago I messaged them to let them know the Gas Lift was periodically (eventually daily) was sinking/not keeping the chair at the desired height. I was unsure if I was still in the warranty period but still liked the chair so asked how I could order a new part. Order Smorder they said (not those exact words). They just verified my address and a new one was on the way no charge. Great service there.I am happy to say that I have been riding high (I have the chair all the way up) since the new part arrived.Overall, very happy with the chair. Please remember my preferences are not cons, they are specific to me.

The chair works, man.
Functionality: 10/10 (so far). It's a chair and you sit in it. Reclines far enough to sleep and holds me well. I'm 5'6 and 185lbs.Comfort: 10/10 (so far). To be fair, this is my first racing-style gaming chair. I'm coming from a 7-year old basic wooden chair with a base with wheels (with no cushioning anywhere). My standards are pretty low, so I guess take my review with a grain of salt.Aesthetics: 10/5. No matter which superhero you choose, it'll look great. The ONLY downside is if you're the type that needs the chair's color scheme to match your room. Unless you're like me and don't give a crap.Assembly: 4/10. Admittedly, I'm pretty discombobulated and slow when it comes to putting things together. However, it was still one of the worst and most frustrating things I've assembled. My problem was lining up the backrest to the seat so I could secure the tilting mechanism. You have to line it up PERFECTLY to get the bolts in. Not only that, perfect alignment also affects whether you can bolt in the plastic covers for the tilting mechanism. My alignment was NOT perfect so I couldn't get the holes visible to bolt them in. Luckily the plastic covers serve mostly as cosmetic, and maybe to prevent you from getting your fingers pinched (though you can simply just not put your fingers there).Want to know how to make things 10x easier?-recruit an extra pair of hands-use power toolsI mean, this obviously makes ALL assembly easier. Some notes:-On the instruction manual it lists 22 total bolts, 16 "L" bolts (for large), and 6 "S" bolts (for small). They tell you which bolts go where. What confused me, however, is that there's actually three sizes to the bolts. The largest one is about 1.5 inches with a total of 12 of them, the medium-sized ones are about an inch with a total of 4 of them, and the small ones are maybe a centimeter with a total of 6 of them. They count the medium-sized ones as "L" bolts, and that confused me. I though I had 4 of the "L" ones missing.-Bought this on the last day of Prime Day thinking I got it for a deal. 3 days later and it's still the same price. Shame on you Amazon for the false advertising.
