Hanes Sport Performance Long Sleeve T-Shirt, Performance Athletic Shirt, 2-Pack, 40+ UPF Protection

Bought these for hot weather, sun activities (mowing lawn, walking dogs). Product is very satisfactory thus far, especially at this price point. Have laundered both shirts once (cold water, hang up to dry), and there was no problem. Shirts seem to have sturdy, double-sewn seams. There are seams on the side, for those who might wonder about that. / I live in NW Missouri. Have mowed lawn in this shirt on a sunny 78F day, and found it to be comfortable on the skin (nice, silky texture), and breathable. / Re: size/fit, I bought size L, which is my normal size for a long sleeve T. I am 6', 160 lbs, 35" sleeve. This shirt fits looser than my cotton long sleeve T's (Gildan, Port & Co., etc), but this was expected, and is OK with me. Neck is roomier than those cotton T's. Shoulder fits me OK. Chest is OK. Little loose under armpits, but again, this adds to comfort and breathability on hot days. Also, would allow me to comfortably wear a short sleeve T under this shirt if I was to wear it in cooler conditions.

About the shirts: The Royal Blue color is slightly darker than shown on the listing images. These shirts are for tall and slim guys, they do not stretch much, which perfectly fits for my husband. Nice, affordable and light long sleeve summer shirts. Definitely Durable & Versatile Shirts. I would not recommend this color wearing in sun, may fade fast and the fabric not breathable fabric. It may be used as swimming tops. Overall I love them and hubby likes them! Thanks much for the excellent prices and services!

Kept me cool, burn free, and scratch free when wearing them for 5 work days in supremely hot weather.Bought these for use during a very hot, very sunny week of landscaping job. I was skeptical and even considered returning them when they first arrived. But then decided to go for it, not like I had other options in my closet. If they worked, great. If they didn't then I was out some bills. While I planned to be slathered in sunscreen, I wanted to have an added level of protection through clothing. I purchased the black, as that is considered the color to wear when trying to reduce UV exposure (though it will not reduce the heat- there you will want light/white).I purchased the 3x. I am a chubby woman and these are mens shirts, so I didn't expect a great fit. Material is stretchy and accommodating. Overall, I just wanted something that fit my body, loosely. In this case, I'd rather it be too big than too small. For the women who may be checking these out: I am 5'10, normally an 18/20 (top and bottom) and the 3x is a loose but not huge fit. Length hits my hips, and I have a long torso.These shirts are not something I planned to wear except for working outside or maybe if I know I have to be out in the sun for long periods of time (I wear wide brim hats, wear sun screen, apply repeatedly, and try not to be in sun for various reasons- so all this is important to me, and I think adds weight to my review).100% polyester, super light weight. I have no idea what makes them "SPF 50". A search tells me that polyester has natural SPF rating of 30, and is considered not a "breathable" fabric. I dont know.. I found these rather light and breathable. I too their word that these have SPF rating of 50. Might be the weave, who knows. Maybe it helped that I chose black and chose a loose fit. Wish there was more info as to WHY/HOW. I down rate based on lack of info.While I sweated, the material seemed to pick up moisture and dry quickly. I never felt "hot" despite wearing long sleeves. Was extra amazing feeling when I could catch a breeze. I also wanted the long sleeves to help keep my arms from being all scratched up as I put down mulch and worked my way through bushes and such. Also keep bugs off me. Sleeves were quite long on my 5'10" frame, but that didn't bother me at all.Overall these shirts worked as intended.

I bought a two pack of these shirts after a couple close calls with cars/drivers not seeing me while mowing lawns. These shirts help make you visible for sure. I like that they breath in the hot weather and help cool you down. I am about 5’10 190-200 lbs and the xl fits the way I like with a little extra room, but not crazy baggy. The neck line is better than other xl shirts I have bought, not snug but just right. The stitching/quality is about what you would expect for a reasonable priced shirt, I did have some loose threads after a wash. I ended up fixing those via the lighter trick for those who know.I liked these so much I bought a second 2 pack. Would definitely recommend. Great price point.
