Great kit for those in need of glasses
The ESS URX Insert is a game changer for anyone looking for high-performance eye protection that seamlessly integrates into their eyewear. As a frequent outdoor enthusiast, I’ve tested various eyewear options, but the URX Insert stands out for its versatility and comfort.Design and Comfort: The URX Insert boasts a sleek, low-profile design that fits securely within ESS eyewear frames. The insert is lightweight and comfortable, making it easy to wear for extended periods without discomfort. The adjustable temple arms ensure a personalized fit, which is a significant plus for active use.Lens Quality: One of the highlights of the URX Insert is the lens quality. The optical clarity is outstanding, providing crisp and clear vision in various lighting conditions. Whether I’m out on a sunny hike or in low-light situations, the lenses perform exceptionally well. The anti-fog coating is also a noteworthy feature—I've experienced minimal fogging, which is crucial during intense activities.Protection: Safety is paramount, and the URX Insert delivers on this front. It meets ANSI Z87.1 standards for impact resistance, making it ideal for both sports and tactical applications. The UV protection is another critical aspect, safeguarding my eyes from harmful rays while I’m outdoors.Versatility: What I love most is the versatility of the URX Insert. It easily transitions from outdoor adventures to casual wear. Plus, the ability to swap out lenses means I can customize my eyewear based on specific needs, whether that’s enhanced contrast or a tinted option for bright days. Conclusion: Overall, the ESS URX Insert is an exceptional product that combines comfort, protection, and adaptability. It’s a worthy investment for anyone serious about eye protection during outdoor activities or tactical situations. I highly recommend it to fellow outdoor enthusiasts and professionals alike!

Works
I bought these to be able to put prescriptions on my Oakley M Frames, and the adapter it came with, plus the frame itself, worked as advertised. You have to go to a glasses maker to have him fill in your prescription after you get it from an optometrist, but, once you do, you could enjoy being able to use polarized glasses or goggles with prescription lenses after you go through that hassle and pay 100-200 bucks. Only thing though, is I wish the frames were made out of something more rigid than plastic. But that's just me being a metal enthusiast and not a plastic enthusiast.

Initial purchase and setup review
I only recently started to wear both prescription glasses and readers. Typically I wear bifocals as progressives just don't work for me personally. I held off buying sunglasses because I had only a few years ago purchased two pair of Oakley M-Frames. At the price point for those shades, I wanted to see if there was a solution worth keeping them. These inserts are that solution! The first thing I noticed immediately is that they are smaller than I thought they would be and they are a hard plastic. I was hoping they were more flexible (like rubber) and that I could slip a set of lenses I have from an older pair of glasses I have. They are not flexible and THEY DO NOT COME WITH LENSES. (I noticed some people thought that they did) However, I went to Eyeglass World (a national chain) and they were able to get me set up with two sets of lenses (both bi-focal) installed into these frames for $80 (actually $58 with eye insurance!)Back to the setup: the next thing I noticed is that the nose piece is considerably larger than the nose piece from the sunglasses. Once I tried them on though, I didn't notice much of a difference. The Oakley conversion pieces worked perfectly in my M-Frames and the insert snapped right into place. The final test was to put them on with the inserts. This where they dropped a star. They fit great, comfortable, and they don't stick out away from my face like I thought they would. However, because of how small the lenses are, the insert frame is definitely in the view on the outside peripheral. I might just get used to them and folks who have been wearing glasses longer may already be used to this. My normal pair of glasses are frameless so I don't see frames all day. So this may be normal. If so, I'll update it to five stars as I think it saved me a lot of money looking for new sunglasses! That's it for now.

Works with SI Ballistic M Frame Alpha Glasses
The insert is well made with no obvious burrs / seams. Very happy to find that the Oakley nosepiece adapter that comes with the insert works perfectly for M Frame Alpha glasses. That said, neither the nosepiece or goggle adapter will work with the M Frame Alpha goggle frame -- there is no place for the nose piece and the goggle adapter is too tall for the goggles. Otherwise, does what I wanted -- works for the M Frame Alpha glasses frame.

Works great for compatible ESS goggles and shooting glasses
Using the compatible glasses and goggles from ESS this prescription Rx insert worked great for me...brought both of them that I purchased to my regular eyeglass doctor and they sent them out to install the lens and fit and function was as good as I was hoping they would be.

Great set with everything you need.
Great set by ESS. This kit also came with Oakley attachments as well. I used this with my Oakley M Frame Alpha. No issues, but the glasses are further out from your face with this nose mount.

Great
Purchased this for my father for Christmas to get prescription sunglasses and they work phenomenally. He was very excited about it especially when he finally got to use them.
