I love the color, size, shape….i love that the lid is not bamboo. But the seal….it doesn’t seal. I’ve tried everything, and the lid keeps popping open on one side. Except that it does seal. I realized that the gasket is pushing air out everytime I push the lid down and when it pops back up, it's because there is still air in it. If I push it down over and over again (3 or 4 times), it will stop popping back up and provide a good seal.The dish is sturdy and big enough to keep a huge amount of butter - and remember, the less butter you put in there, the more AIR is trapped inside, so you might have to push the lid down a little more often to get a good seal.

This butter holder is big to hold a stick of butter. Super convenient to lift the lid. The lid has plastic on the inside edge to keep the butter fresh. The lid is wood light neutral color which I love. It’s ceramic and I picked the color light gray I believe and it’s the perfect hint of gray.The package came very well packaged and it arrived in 1 business day.10 out of 10

I needed a dish to hold margarine. We buy the large sized tubs of margarine and take out some to use everyday. We had a nice bamboo dish with a plastic cover, but the cover split from usage. This dish is PERFECT. It holds a good amount of margarine, and looks really nice on the dinner table. So VERY pleased with this purchase.

Love this butter dish! I have been wanting a bigger size for awhile because we go through butter so fast, so I was happy to finally buy one! I was a little worried about the wood lid, but it seals nicely, is very durable and washed up easily!! The size is perfect for storing 2 sticks of butter or one half pound and is very high quality.

I bought this butter container recently and here is my review.Starting with how the container looks I noticed this butter container is a bit thicker than I expected as it doesn't fit on the shelf of my refrigerator that I intended to put it on. That shelf is just a little wider than a stick of butter but that's just a small issue to complain about. The container being wide isnt all bad as I realized it can hold 2 or more butter sticks. This helps me store more butter as a nice convenience. Your experience may vary since I don’t know what size of butter sticks you buy or how many you are going to put in there. The wooden lid and rubber gasket provides a proper seel for the butter to maintain freshness for your butter. Some reviews here say their lid doesnt work or doesnt provide a proper seel when they try to close their container. Make sure that the rubber gasket is correctly installed on the wooden lid. If it doesn’t seel, the rubber gasket may have been installed incorrectly. Mine was installed just fine so just double check before writing a bad review like some other reviews.Examining the ceramic, I feel it is very high quality so I am confident placing this in the refrigerator while under other food containers. I’m no expert on ceramic but my container hasn’t broken yet so that is good news.Before I placed butter in my container, I gave it a nice wash and found it is very easy to scrub with soap and water. The wooden lid I just wiped it with a damp paper towel and dried both well before storing any butter.Overall, I am currently enjoying this butter container. I will update this review if I notice anything as I continue to use it.

The perfect size for those larger Irish butter blocks! Absolutely love it and it is airtight!! The ceramic dish is beautiful and I love the wooden lid!

Great butter dish with a simple design but looks pretty. As a Canadian the only problem is that it does not fit a whole block of butter and I have to cut the butter in 1/2 to fit but as a smaller household that works better for us.

I really wanted to love this. The top of it just doesn't sit flush with the dish. The seal around the top prevents it from becoming flush. Sometimes the lid just pops off from the rubber seal. We ended up just taking off the rubber band around it. It's not the best option, but for this price I would have expected more.I had reached out to their customer service to ask about it, unfortunately there was nothing they could do because it was purchased from Amazon and Amazon never responded to any of my emails as well.
