Just Don't Put Directly on Your Skin!
I've no doubt that this stuff keeps insects away but I wish someone had told me not to put 100% deet directly on my skin. I gather it is generally sprayed on clothing? I was staying in the rain forest in Costa Rica and liberally rubbed this stuff all over my body since I am a mosquito magnet. Didn't get bitten but my skin felt like it was on fire--like I had a really bad sunburn. I since read on the internet that you should never put more than 40% deet on your skin. I switched to a natural, organic insect repellent. Skin felt good bit I got lots of bites. You just can't win.

works like a charm...but will eat plastic or vinyl faster than a fat kid eats candy
it works great to keep ticks and such away.BUT...if you have any on your hands...even long after application, wash it off prior to handling ANYTHING made of plastic...Eats fishing line almost instantlyi now have sticky spots on my shift knob and steering wheel.and cheap rubber flip flops actually melted and stuck to my feet

WASH YOUR HANDS!
This works great for repelling mosquitoes. However, I had just applied it for the first time and went to my computer to give a review. I decided to read some other reviews and saw that you should wash your hands before touching plastic. I had my hand on my mouse and now it is sticky. I have wiped it off but it's still a bit tacky. Maybe this will go away with time. Fortunately, a new mouse is inexpensive. Glad I didn't touch the keyboard!

Good DEET. Crappy bottle.
Listen to what other reviewers are telling you: the spray nozzle quickly stops working, or the bottle leaks. Poor design. However, the DEET itself works beautifully, and the price for these two bottles can't be beaten. It's dificult to find 100% DEET at any price - mostly you'll see the 30% stuff. So if you need 100%, this is the stuff for you.As for the bottle problems, maybe try what I did: decant the DEET into one of those small spray bottles used for spritzing hair and such like. You'll get DEET that's usable AND you'll get it in a much finer mist than the original bottle can deliver. Problem solved.

Worked great but messy bottle
My low review has more to do with the bottle than the product. However, the product is what makes the mess. The bottle leaked like crazy. The product leaves a oily mess. It leaked in my tent floor and I still haven’t gotten it out. Then while applying, I got it on the outside of the tent wall. Again left an oily stain. On the good side, it seems to work very well at turning away the mosquitoes, tics, and others. I used it all week at my sons Boy Scout Summer camp in the middle of Arkansas. It was nearly perfect. The ticks were everywhere where. I only got one all week, and it was after I got home. I didn’t put this on before we left, so prob got it on the way out. I don’t recall getting a single mosquito bite, and they were getting everyone, and we were next to a lake.So great product, a bit oily, bad container. I might try this again, if they have it in a different package.

Does the job
My only complaint is that you cannot hold the container upside down to spray your legs because the tube to the spray end is not immersed in the liquid. Just take the top off and pour some in your hand.
