A Pen for the Ages
This blue pen, like its black ink brother were mainstays during my 22 years in the Air Force. Unlike the black ink brother, this wasn't a required carry from day one. It was a pen then that you may have run across if your duties were in or around an admin function. If you did, you stashed it in your pocket quickly and whistled a tune as you stepped out of the office area. From then on, you carried it faithfully. Generally though, the Air Force's preferred color was black, but blue was a first substitute. It gained favor for the fact that if you held a sign order or document, you knew you were holding an original and not a zerox copy. Okay, that's it for my personal take on this pen's history. It's a good pen to have in your pocket. Small, compact. It does feel small in your hands. I have big hands. But, it writes smoothly and doesn't skip a beat. It will show its and tear, but for a pen that's about a dollar and small change in this box of 12, you can't beat. You won't lament its loss if you lose it. But I guarantee you that if you do misplace it, you will search the deepest waters, the darkest valleys and the highest mountains to find it. Only then, you'll grudgingly open the box up to pull out a replacement. All the while through time, you will hold out hope that your lost buddy will show up. :)

A little smaller than your average pen, but great quality and they feel good in the hand
Bought these as a gift for a friend after seeing the company featured on CBS’s 60 Minutes. Great pens.

Classic pen field proven
UPDATEI have discovered I can hang these wit little magnets all over the houseso useful to have a dedicated spot for the pen I can quickly grab andreturn when I am doneORIGINAL REVIEWGot 12 in a box, the description wasn't clear so I posted a picture to show what I got. They don't click smooth at first but they loosen up. They write for a long long time so there is plenty of time for them to loosen up.Box says they will write for 5000 feet.I prefer the medium tip, it lays down a smooth unbroken line. You can see my detailed review.Youtube video code = xB9xu9frdiA

Awesome
Works perfectly the first time and every time. Perfectly balanced, perfectly constructed, perfect value for the money - perfect in every single way except for the fact that the pen is not also available with a red barrel and red ink.

As described
This pen is pretty much as everyone describes. Small form, writes well, and nostalgic for those of a certain age and background. Overall a nice pen for a decent price, but by no means the best value. The pen writes well, smooth no skips and I have had not issues with pens not working. As others mentioned there is a slight hitch in the click mechanism on some of the pens, but it doesn't seem to affect the performance. It reminds me of the same pens I had in my youth in the 60s, and seems pretty much as I remember them. Works as a nice EDC pocket pen.

Great pen which is why it’s still around.
It’s been donkeys years since I used these pens in the military. Just nice to see they’re still around and going strong. Best pen I ever used, would write for over a mile, the tip is the maximum length a female could grow her finger nails, & they’d work in crazy temps. Glad I got a box for old times sake.

Will buy again as soon as I run out
These are perfect, they are exactly what I wanted and needed. Our office quit buying these, and they're the only pen I like because they are small/sleek, yet they have a good tight clip so they attach easily to my pants & shirt pockets. In my line of work, we try to put a pen in every pocket. We work outside and they get lost so easily. For me, the advantage of these small unassuming pens is that they tuck nicely off to the pocket's side... so they aren't in my way when reaching into the pocket for other tools or papers. Our secretary keeps buy fancy schmancy pens that have different ink, glide rollers or what-not, but I think most people at my job just want THESE skilcraft pens. Because every time I accidentally leave one on some other table in the office, someone grabs it before I get back. Leave it laying somewhere, and you'll never see it again. People love to take them from you.

Moderately Disappointing.
If you’re looking for a smooth operating pen that feels good in the hand, this is not it.I’m sure it writes well and lasts a long time. But the clicking action was sticky on several of the 12 pens.If the pen has no nostalgic significance to you, and you’re not buying it at least in part to support the great company that makes them, then you may be disappointed considering how overwhelmingly positive the reviews are.
