Great for sun and rain
Very nifty, compact but sturdy. The cheaper version was inferior and flimsy in comparison which I returned

Does the job
Ive waited some time to write this and have had a pink one since September. It fits in its cover really well. Feels protected. As a result ive carried it in my handbag stood upright since.Bad points. It is difficult to put up and needs a robust shove, which is annoying when stepping out the car in rain. Also, despite not much use due to lockdowns etc. The little end cover popped off. However, I went camping in Kent last week. Weather forecast was rain. Little brollie was perfect. Then, unexpectedly the Sun came out. So I sat without suncream, cooking etc and at no point got burned even though I was in strappy top.So, overall happy with it. Light weight, fits in a pocket, keeps you dry and burn free. Plus pretty colour.Would buy again, but would a bit more for good quality and instant opening.

Good emergency umbrella
Be aware this is a small lightweight emergency umbrella to keep at work or in handbag for light showers. I wouldn't trust it in really rainy or windy conditions as it only has 6 ribs. But it's been fine to use so far and I love the small size and bright colour.Have included a photo next to a 33.5cm long 10 rib Conlon umbrella for comparison.

Not fit for purpose, broken within days
This travel umbrella is a good size and as far as appearances go, appears to be well constructed. At least that's what I thought. I was quickly disavowed of that notion however, when the second time I used the umbrella, the handle came off in my hand. To be fair it can easily be reattached, however it does remain loose and will come back off during use unless you're holding both the handle and the lower pole during operation. So that's annoying, but not the end of the world I guess. That is until I used it again, in the middle of a downpour, and all of a sudden the pole would only extend half way! Now I'm not a complete weakling and even using a fairly robust amount of force is not enough to budge this thing. It's like the crank in the middle of the extending pole has been fused. This means that in the middle of some god awful weather, I had two options - either get soaked or walk around town using a ridiculously short umbrella which makes it seems like I have T-Rex arms. And then the handle fell off again. Ugh.

Small but insubstantial
This will be fine as an emergency travel umbrella (which is why I bought it) but it doesn't feel like it will last very long in anything more than a gentle breeze. The wire struts are quite thin and feel a bit flimsy. It's not the widest umbrella, either. But, as I say, as an emergency rain parasol it's fine.

Smart appearance, but disappointing in functionality and quality.
Factor 50 umbrella bought as protection from the Texas sun. Good size and could do the job. However, difficult to put up and stay up either due to stiffness or just poor quality. Very flimsy so could easily break if forced. Only managed to put it up 30% of the time. Otherwise just had to hold it open when being used. Impossible to fold back up properly to put away. Gave up in the end as too frustrating to persevere with it.Didn't use in rain, so cannot comment on whether it would be adequate protection from water or how it would fare in the wind.

Very difficult to put up!
I’ve been searching for a small umbrella which would fit easily in my handbag, ( to replace the mislaid one) and also be serviceable. I spent ages pondering over the huge selection on Amazon, reading reviews to help me decide. This one has a lot of attributes, the sun shade, the surprisingly large coverage, the little pocket in which to store it. Sadly, I am unable to actually put it up properly, ie, there is a slot which the catch should slot into when fully up, but try as I might, I cannot complete the operation! My husband can, but that’s not a lot of use to me. However, this umbrella will sort of stay up, and as it is small and light and just the right fit for handbag or even pocket, and most impressively, only £7, I have decided to keep it.I shall look out for a sturdier but easier to operate one for those days when it is actually raining, but I’m happy to keep this one for those times when rain is not expected, but does arrive! ( I have used it over a short distance to get to car when it rained, and it performed ok, stayed up with some encouraging nudges! )
