Mondaine Large Wall Clock A995.CLOCK.16SBB, 40 cm, Silver

Lovely, minimal-design wall clock. Silent sweeping seconds hand looks great. Clock is robustly made and looks elegant on the wall as an office clock -- also helps me to concentrate (I bought this to replace a ticking wall clock) as it is silent. Looks like it will last years too. Pros: Well made, solid build, silent sweep. Cons: Expensive!

Makes for a lovely classic piece of design in our new kitchen. And so it should be at the price! It was, at least, £100 cheaper through Amazon than at John Lewis. The sweeping second hand is super smooth and it seems to be keeping very good time.

It is very striking and looks well, but I believed the minute hand only turned when the second hand hit 12 (as in the swiss train stations and stated on their smaller clocks). Whereas the minute hand is slightly loose and is not exactly on the minute hand at the strike of 12; and now it's all I can look at.

Big Bold and Stunning

A design Icon - Looks great - I'm a great fan of the design and have a stop 2 go watch Points to bear in mind - this isnt stop to go - its a continuous electric battery operated clock - the main hands are a bit flim flam possibly out of necessity owing to cheap mechanism driving them rather than the Mondiane brand in general . The glazing is not non-reflective and will cast an irritating reflection depending on how you hang it . That said the case( aluminium) and dial and sweep had are all robust and well made. -ves=hence 4 not 5 stars.

I purchased the clock for my kitchen where it is a real feature. It looks great. The design is just classic and whilst quite old complements my ultra modern minimalist kitchen perfectly. I considered alternative cheaper clocks but they just do not have the same look. Construction is very solid and it also keeps good time!

Ausgezeichnet!

I’ll start by saying the clock does look fabulous and I can’t deny the case is solid and clearly well made. The issue I had though is that this isn’t a Stop Go movement and it doesn’t sync with an app or anything to set it up. It’s a basic quartz movement with 2AA batteries but just set in a well made aluminium case. I appreciate that it looks great but for this money I do think it should have the sweeping second hand with a 2 second stop each minute - without that function it doesn’t feel like it should carry the Swiss railway branding on the dial in my opinion.

Beautiful modern clock, perfect for our home

J'attends un retour d'Amazon à ce sujet. L'horloge est-elle l'originale Mondaine??? Magnfique horloge. Reçue rapidement dans un emballage digne d'horlogerie de luxe. Mais toutes les 48h elle accuse un retard de plus de 5 minutes!!! J'hésite à retourner l'article. A ce prix et considérant le caractère "Suisse" de l'horloge c'est très décevant. J'attends une proposition d'Amazon. Serait-ce une pièce défectueuse?
