Northside Unisex Brille II Athletic Water Shoe

I have been wearing these water shoes in the ocean every day since they were delivered. I always go to rocky beaches and wearing shoes in the water is necessary. I would even wear these in a lake or a sandy beach, because I like to protect the bottoms of my feet. My old shoes were in dire need of replacement. These are the most comfortable water shoes that I have owned in more than ten years. The liner is nice and thick. It's nice to have good padding in the shoe. There is no thin nylon liner to come loose all the time. This padding is the thickest that I've ever had in a water shoe and will hold up well. It's easy to free up the padding when drying out the shoe, and the padding keeps its shape. These even have arch support! These work well for my wide feet, due to bunions, and there is no irritation. The tightness can be adjusted on top of your arch, so these will probably never have the stretched-out fit of so many other shoes. I need to walk down a pebbly ramp to get to the beach, and the grip on the bottom seems good. I highly recommend these water shoes for protecting your feet at the beach. They are very sturdy, comfortable, and practical.

These things hold SO MUCH sand (and pebbles, don't forget the pebbles!) that they will serve you well as percussion instruments of the Latin persuasion. Two major issues: 1) they have removable sole inserts, great on regular shoes but for shoes designed for the water they hold/trap fine sand and moisture between the two layers and take forever to dry if not disassembled after use; and 2) the heel has a double-layer of fabric (presumably for comfort) that is open at both ends. I get the idea--quicker to dry; however, in practice, sand and other coarser debris gets washed into this channel behind the heel during regular use and stays there. Forever. The procedure for cleaning these after use is straightforward. 1) After use, when soaking wet and filled with tiny objects, remove the inserts and set them aside to dry separate from the shoes. 2) After drying, pound the inserts against each other or another object to remove the many, many particles that have stuck to them. 3) Now's your chance to find out if the rhythm is going to get you--shake the shoes and enjoy the sound of sand cascading through. Since the channel at the heel wraps around, it will take many shakes to dump this sand out--back into the toe of the shoe, of course, since if you invert the shoe the sand is captive in the channel. So basically shake the shoe then invert and repeat many, many times....oh, and they don't dry quickly or completely, either. So there's that.

This is the best shoe I have ever worn. It looked like this company might have stopped making this shoe. I am glad I found it here.I have wide feet and have problems finding any shoes that fit. These shoes feel about as comfortable as socks. They fit my foot width AND arch height. Most "wide" shoes seem to assume people have duck feet. I like these fittnig my entire foot.The amazing thing about these shoes is that they are surprisingly warm in the winter in snow. And I like them for hiking because I can feel the trail and rocks under my feet in a good way; I feel more in control in iffy footing areas. And they grip better than other shoes on tralis and on rocks in streams.One thing about these shoes is they are flat on bottom. I added an insert support which made them a lot more comfortable for walking and hiking.

I've had a pair of Merrell Trail Gloves that have served me well through at least five or six grueling biking seasons, and they're still going strong (a little sweaty and misshapen in the uppers but the soles are still good as new), but I thought I'd look around for a more affordable alternative for the sad day when I'd have to retire them. All I need is light and breathable, on the bike my feet hardly ever touch the ground.These seemed to fit the bill. They are very light, and I can definitely feel air coming through the mesh uppers. They fit me a little big, but not a big deal on the bike. They also smell like cheap Kmart shoes with dubious Asian materials, but I aired them out for a week.Well, I took my first ride yesterday, and I hate these shoes. Zero traction. Zero. They wouldn't stay on the pedals, and I spent my whole ride distracted by how my feet were sliding around. Like wearing slippers. When I'm coasting down a big hill at 30 mph standing on the pedals, I do NOT need to be worried my feet are going to slide off. And if these can't stick to dry bike pedals, I can't imagine they'd do any better on slippery river rocks.So I've learned two important life lessons: Stick with what works, and you always, always, always get what you pay for. So I'm going back to my trusty Trail Gloves until the day they die, whereupon I will pay a little extra and get a new pair. Merrell -- 5 stars!

These water shoes are well made and I love the color. I ordered my regular shoe size and they fit perfectly. I have just enough room to wear lycra waterproof socks with these if I wanted. I like the adjustable laces and did have to tighten them just a bit. The soles are flexible which is important to me. I have high arches and most water shoes are uncomfortable for me to walk in after a short time. I actually wore these for several hours today without any socks and they were very comfortable.

These pair of shoes was supposed to arrive on June 9th, it came in early, June 6! I really like that it is lightweight, the arch is just right, more importantly, comfortable and I wear a size 10US and fits perfectly. The one-piece sole constructing is a huge plus as I've had other water shoes that had a 2-3 piece sole construction that eventually peels off over the years but I cannot complain as it was very good for $20 and over 3 years of hard use. I'm sure these pair will last me years as well and the price tag of under $12 bucks, it's worth it. I'm going to buy myself a few more pairs in different colors for biking and kitchen work. Los había comprado en un principio para andar por la playa en mis ultimas vacaciones ya que estaba algo rocosa, pero también puedes meterte con ellos a la alberca y son geniales ya que puedes ir al restaurante del hotel y regresar a la alberca sin necesidad de quitar y/o poner, brindan mucha practicidad en ese sentido. El tiempo de secado es muy bueno y de un día para otro están listos sin problemas.

Excelentes. Las compre para ir de viaje a la Huasteca Potosina y de verdad estoy encantada resistieron las rocas filosas a diferencia de otros que vi q se desgastaron los use 3 dias seguidos todo el dia en el agua y despues en tierra la verdad muy comodos y de verdad duraderos los sigo usando ahora para cuestones de jardin o cuando tengo que morjarme los pies al bañar a mis perros etc.. Las tallas son las correctas, es tal como se muestra en la imagen. Los recomiendo son excelentes. Llegaron antes de tiempo.

Fueron 3 pares los que compré, me guie por comentarios para elegir los números y quedaron asi:24.5 cm = 8 Son para una adolescente, le quedan ligeramente grandes, pero se pueden ajustar y el pie le seguirá creciendo.24.5 cm Ancho = 8D le quedaron 1 o 2 cm más largo pero perfecto de lo ancho, son las imágenes que anexo.25 cm = 8 Me quedaron caso exactos, unos milimetros más largo, no toca mi pulgar el tenis en la punta.La calidad y diseño son muy buenas, nos encantaron.

I ordered several water shoes for a trip to Mexico, others were too small or too large. This one fit, the look is nice, more like a shoe, and I found it adequate for what I wanted - which was to protect my feet while snorkeling and allow me to walk around on rocks and paths to and from the beach. Did fill up with sand on the long stretches of sandy beach, but the insole comes out so easy to clean. I think all water shoes fill with sand unless they are skin tight neoprene. These are also actually fairly comfortable to just walk around in because of the padded tongue and edges. I did use the elastic tightening system and it did loosen over time while walking - not significantly, but I recall having to tighten them again on two occasions. Overall, a great product for 20 bucks.

The elastic laces give these shoes an incredible fit. The drainage system on the shoes works very well.My only issue was the man-made sole. I found it to be more slippery than the last pair of water shoes I had, which had a more rubberized sole. When I went into the pool with them, I was sliding along the pool floor more than I thought.It's more a smooth, flat surface that the shoes unfortunately don't do well at all.They make great shoes to wear around the house and for light outdoor use, but, as much as I hate to say it, I would not recommend they be used in a pool.

My wife and I each bought a pair for our vacation to Mexico.They look great and are very comfortable for walking in or out of water.The materials and build quality seem great and the treads are deep enough to provide traction on slippery rocks or poolside cement. (Stops little ones from wiping out around the pool)I wore them all day and found we were both impressed with the comfort and protection the sole of the shoes offer. I could step on a small stone while on sand or pavement without any discomfort. (I have tender feet. lol)I wish I had bought them sooner!If you boat, canoe, sail, swim, fish or like the beach or pool these are fantastic shoes as they are quick to dry, as well.I sincerely hope you find this review helpful!Best of luck with your decision. My initial impression was that the shoe was of sturdy build. The sole was thicker than I expected for a water shoe, and the shoe heavier overall than expected. That is not necessarily a negative as a thicker sole would probably offer more protection on rocky terrain, but if you're looking for something light (luggage weight considerations), then this show may not be for you. I found the shoe to fit mostly accurately, but possibly very slightly big. If I were to buy it again, I might consider a size down for a snugger fit since I wouldn't want them sliding off in the water. That said, I wore them for the first time while river tubing in Domenica and they did fine. The bungee cord on one of the shoes did break loose from its attachment point the first time wearing, so I have concerns with the longevity of this product.

Great shoes for the beach, pool, boat, etc.My wife and I each bought a pair. Same shoes, different colors but as my seller didn't have her size we paid about three times more from this seller so, as great as they are, you can get them for much less if you shop around.All around good quality, comfortable and good looking shoes. Great protection from parasites like ring worms which are often picked up through your feet while walking on a beach to which dogs, etc. have access.You don't want to being those home from vacation! Good water shoes like these will help protect you.

Aunque nunca entendí bien su sistema de tensión la considero una buena compra.Cumple su función y está hecho de buenos materiales.Los he usado en ríos rápidos; cayendo al agua, pataleando, caminando, y nunca siquiera sentí que se aflojaran. Como mencioné nunca etendí el sistema de tensión

Compré estos zapatos para mi novio y yo me compré unos iguales pero para mujer,él usa talla 13 normalmente pero leí que venían un poco grandes así que pedí tala 12 y le quedaron bien. Muy prácticos. ligeros, ajustan perfecto. los recomiendo.

I love these shoes. They don't look like those other ugly water shoes and I can actually use them as a back up walking shoe if needed. My girlfriend and I both used them as they are adjustable when we were on the beach in Hawaii. Then aren't too bulky and don't take up much room in my suitcase. Overall an excellent little water shoe!

Make sure you use the lace tightener - I definitely needed to. Worked well waking around a dock in a rocky lake. Dried quickly when left out. Good price. They aren't as thick as normal shoes (so they dry), but should last long enough for me - might not be great for continuous use. Tread was aggressive enough for my needs (on rough rock).

Me quedaron bien al pie. Queria usarlos sin calcetas pero las costuras y la tela raspan por dentro. Por la medida debo usar calceta delgada. La suela/plantilla se puede mover al ir caminando. seria bueno o cambiarla, o ponerle un velcro para mantenerlas en posicion.

If you want a well constructed water shoe, look no further. I wanted a better quality of water shoe than the cheap stores sells. I checked Amazon, this shoe won out. Perfect fit, light yet sturdy on your feet. You are not weighted down. Excellent water shoe for doing water aerobics. Hope to get good wear from them. Definitely, would purchase again.
