I bought a pair of these Oxford bar ends to replace the rubber ones which had got lost from my Zero DS 2018 bike.When you examine these bar ends, they are comprised of the steel bolt, the coloured aluminium puck of the end itself with the Oxford branding lettered on the outside edge, a pair of expansion bushes with slots and a (steel?) cone bolt at the end. All are very precisely machined and finished.The Zero handlebars are the standard 22mm OD and I found that the smaller 13mm bush was the one that fitted well inside. I applied a tiny amount of copper anti-seize grease (not supplied) onto the end portion of the threads of each screw just in case, made sure the slots in the bush were facing the cone bolt, snugged it on with the allen key until it started to expand just enough to be a slightly grippy fit into the bar end, slid it in and tightened up.When you tighten the grip completely the bar end will be drawn a little into the handlebar so make sure to check the play of your throttle. If you are concerned, making a temporary card shim to go between the end of the throttle grip and the bar end would allow you to snug it in nicely and you could then tear and remove the card shim.The packaging is only partly recyclable so perhaps an improvement Oxford could make would be to replace the expanded plastic inside of the box with some punched cardboard.
