THE Light To Count On!
This light is indeed a Wonderful product. First: I was a bit concerned about "comfort" since it appeared to not have any type of "padding" for the forehead; which indeed it does not, (Just in case I have some spare "rubber" padding in case I needed it, but I did not) as it turns out, it is NOT an issue. This headlamp is indeed Very comfortable to wear. Second, one review commented about the "Head-strap" not being attached and separate in the packaging, but the attachment of the head-strap was a "no-brainer", easy and quick. It is also quite "wide" so that it fits comfortably and securely on your head. The "light output" is excellent, at least for my purposes which is working on my SUV or Harley within the garage. The ability to adjust the light intensity (Three Different Levels) is a definite "Plus" ~ The Harley has a lot of "Chrome", and adjusting the light intensity helps to cut down on "Glare", which I admit can be BLINDING at times! ...At night, on a road-side during a break-down, it will also be Excellent. Plenty of light to change a tire, look under the hood or anything else you might want. I can also attest this Head-light would be EXCELLENT for "Home Defense" purposes at night in the dark. I have tactical LED flash lights all over my home, for just this purpose, but after receiving this product, I want one for my bedside at night when I'm sleeping in the event of an intruder. Easy and Quick to put-on, AND, it leaves both hands free for OTHER things... you get my point, I'm sure... Some would say, "Hey, It Just Makes You A Target" ~ No; "Accuracy" is what is important in a "Gun Fight"! But I digress... The light adjustment (degree of tilt angle) also is Excellent... just enough. Although I believe the description stated greater, the actual adjustment is closer to just around 45 degrees, I can't see why you would need more. But I supposed some might need more for some reason or another, the adjustment is just fine for my purposes. The "Red" LED, it's Intensity and adjustments are also Excellent. At least Three (3) different modes. "Flashing", "SOS" and "Steady-On". I believe that there is also a "combination" of both "white" and "red" LED's on at the same time, which again is a plus. My ONLY confusion about this Head-lamp is the "Low Battery Indicator". I was under the impression that it was in the "On-Off-Mode Selection" switch/button, but the question "forum" one person told me it was one the "left" (as you are wearing it) next to the "white" LED. ...as you look at the front of the light behind the lens, it appears to have Three (3) LEDS Horizontally across the unit. But apparently "one" of these is the actual "low-battery indicator. Which is fine, the description was just a little confusing to me, or possibly I just read it incorrectly... Overall, I can't find ANYTHING wrong, with this Head-Light. It's an Excellent product as so many others have reviewed, well constructed, comfortable and a Excellent value. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase additional exact ones when I can. Since I am "retired" and have limited funds at any given time, I will obtain more when I can; one for the car and one for the bedroom. Bottom line; You can't go wrong with this product. Excellent Value, with Excellent shipping and delivery which again is just another "PLUS". Many too have described the excellent customer service. That remains to be seen, because I just don't have any problems with this product or expect to have any. I will indeed obtain additional units when I can.

I really like this light
I really like this light. I've only had it a little while, and still need to do a real camp trip with it, but so far seems great. VERY bright, and has a huge feature set for the price point. My only gripe is a personal preference on feature order for the red light setting. To access the red light features, you press and hold the button for a few seconds. This is pretty standard across many headlamps, but this light features a few different red light settings. There is a "Flash", an "SOS", and a solid "ON" setting. I would personally have the solid ON setting as the first feature, as I use the red light setting on a regular basis when camping, and have yet to use an SOS beyond playing with it in my living room. I'd reorder the features based on use likelihood, and have the ON setting first to avoid having to go through the various other features to get to the one I want. Having it last is a bit of an annoyance. This is not a flaw per se, just a difference in opinion on the order of the features. I'd personally opt for the other way round, but others opinion may vary. I'd do the same with the white light as well, and set features to go from dim to bright with flash at the end. I often blow out my night vision trying to get down to the dim setting when activating. Again, others may disagree. As to the light itself. The strap is great and can be extended to be quiet large. it can be easily fit over a hat, and it looks like it could be fit over a helmet when extended all the way out. Many other lamps I own cannot go so wide with the strap comfortably. Once you get them over a hat they really squeeze and become uncomfortable. This fits easily and without a ton of pressure. Strap also has a reflective printing that is quite bright. I don't love this for camping, but a huge benefit for city/traffic use. Takes 3 AAA batteries to power, and works fine with the Envelop rechargeable I stuck in there. It does not come with batteries, but that is not an issue to me, and prefer to save some cost at purchase, as I always stick rechargeable batteries in my lights. The light itself is not as compact as some others I have, but not huge. It is comparable in size, but a shade larger than most of the Petzl lights I own or have used. If you are looking for super small, there are other options out there, but all cost more, and sacrifice lumens and run time as a result. For the price, this is a great light with a ton of features.

Comfortable and Functional
I recently started running again after a very long hiatus and joined a running group in my local area to train for a half marathon. Due to the intense heat here we begin our training sessions at very early hours, long before sunrise. I needed to keep my hands free so was searching for a product that would allow me to see where I'm going so I don't trip and fall on uneven terrain or miss a curb or something. I did a quick search on Amazon and noted the great reviews for this item and took a chance. The item arrived quickly via Amazon Prime and in great condition. I've used it on about three runs so far and it has functioned very well. For starters, I have a very small head (not too long ago I would have to wear eyeglasses from the children's section) and was concerned that it might not adjust well enough to fit me correctly. No worries, this item is very adjustable for all head sizes. Next, I worried it might be uncomfortable but I've worn it on three runs thus far and it is not at all uncomfortable. Depending on humidity out on the run, I've worn both alone and with other head wraps/head bands and there has been no negative impact on performance. It is relatively light weight and comfortable. Light output is fabulous, I can see very well. In fact, when others saw my headlamp, they asked me to run at the front of the pack to help light the way for them, too. You can adjust the light and it is easy to find the button to turn on / off as you need. This has better light than the clip on lights that some other fellow runners wear clipped to their hats. I've even started using it for other activities such as walking my dog at night. This item is great and I highly recommend it.

Almost perfect.
I like this headlamp. I like that it has three brightness settings for the white light, along with a flashing setting, a morse code SOS in red, a solid red, and a flashing red (most of which I will never use). I like that after you turn it on to whatever setting you need you can turn it off with one button press instead of having to cycle through the other modes. I like that the red light doesn't turn on by mistake when you are trying to turn on the white light (other manufacturers use a second button for the red light and often times it is positioned so it is hit accidentally). I like the durability of the headstrap. I like the brightness of the lamp and find the allowed movement to aim the light just about perfect. I have only two complaints: Firstly, when turning on the white light, it cycles through three brightness settings starting at the brightest. If I want a dimmer light so as to not be a nuisance to others or to somewhat preserve my night vision I have to flash through the brightest setting first. Starting at the dimmest setting and working up to the brightest would work better for me, but I can see how it would be inconvenient for people who always want the brightest setting to have to push the button a few more times instead of just once. Secondly, one of the strap buckles is somewhat uncomfortable. The strap has two black plastic buckles, one of which doubles as a whistle(which is cool!). This whistle buckle is positioned so that it does not dig into your head while you are wearing the headband. Sadly, the second buckle (not the whistle) digs into my head slightly. At first I thought I had the strap turned the wrong way, but flipping it over caused the whistle to dig into my scalp which was much more painful. It seems to me that if the second buckle was mounted the other way this problem would not exist but as it is it is only mildly uncomfortable when I have to wear the headlamp for a long time. All in all, I am quite happy with my purchase and would recommend this product to anyone who needs an inexpensive general purpose headlamp.

The light unit housing appears to be of very good quality, as well as the headband
Got this for my wife who's recently begun running again. Got her the pink one, which she loves;the color doesn't look childish or shocking at all, The light unit housing appears to be of very good quality, as well as the headband. Adjustment is easy, and overall, it's comfortable. The company name and logo printed on the headband are reflective ink/paint, and works quite well. The light unit itself was smaller than I assumed, which turned out to be a good thing. Less mass means less chance of bouncing or moving during use / running. Installation of batteries is a snap (3 AAA), and the light output is VERY bright. The beam will easily and sufficiently illuminate the road/trail 100ft ahead. I have a handheld LED flashlight rated at 150 lumens, and the output of this unit is very close. So, it would seem the rated output is on target with reality. Operation is also dead simple: Click the rubberized switch once for full brightness. Within a few seconds, click again for medium , then again for low. If more than a few seconds has elapsed since last press, the light will turn off at next click. It's nice to not have to cycle through all brightness settings each time. To toggle the unit over to red light, just press and hold the switch. Default mode is blinking. Click again, SOS mode. Once again, steady red. Press and hold the switch to return to main LED. Finally, there are three "click" positions for downward tilt of the light unit. This is useful for whatever it is you're targeting, w/o having to look down all the time. (like dog-walking) In my opinion the price/value is there, and would recommend to others. The available colors are also a plus...I doubt she would have liked it as much, were it just a lifeless black.

Surprising quality and not just for kids!
I bought two of these for my grandchildren (6 and 9), just as a fun gift, and because I have several of other brands. To my astonishment, these headlights are of superior quality, with more features, than any of the higher priced ones I have, usually advertised as for running at night or working in a dark spot. Many other people have covered the surprising brightness, the wide range of functions of the white and red lights, the water tolerance, the whistle (which was designated as for "outdoor" use only, while here!), and the importance of being able to use rechargeable batteries (not everything that takes AAA batteries will fit all rechargeables, which can occasionally be ever so slightly larger). One thought if you give these to children of this age as a gift--it is unlikely (certainly not possible for the 6-year-old) that any child under 10 would have both the understanding and hand strength to attach the band to the back of the light. I say this only as something to be aware of, because for any child to fully understand and enjoy this gift, they need to understand the responsible use of them: not shining a bright light in anyone else's eyes, when and where to use the different features, and the importance of not wasting battery strength--things most adults would teach along the way anyway. I guess my only confusion (but certainly not a serious problem!) is that the piece of paper that came on the inside of the plastic said that the warranty was 3 years, where the product detail page on Amazon states that the warranty is unlimited. Wish they would clarify that. My only other suggestion would be that they make these in white, because I always find white items much easier to find in the dark--and often you're in the dark when you're looking for these! I realize that white may not be as appealing to kids as the colorful ones, but clearly, given all its features, this item has considerable appeal for adults as well!

Great light
This is a great, light weight flashlight. I use it to walk my dogs in the early morning and late at night. It illuminates our path and shines about 20-30 feet in front of us. I usually wrap the light around my arm because it's simpler than having it on my head.
