I will always love Amanda Lovelace, she has such a way with emotions in her writing. So raw and emotional.

I’ve read a lot of poetry lately. This is the 1st one I’ve given 5 stars to. I feel like I highlighted almost the entire book. It’s soooooo good. So hard hitting. So loving. It’s like being wrapped in a warm hug. Please read this. You wont regret it.

I read break your glass slippers by Amanda Lovelace in one sitting because I couldn’t stop reading it. As usual, her fairytale-themed poetry books combine the emotions of poetry with the magic of fairytales wrapped up in a message of female empowerment. The dedication page sums it up: “for those who break glass slippers as well as glass ceilings.” This book also has colored illustrations on some pages, small drawings that look hand-colored with touches of sky blue. The sections are divided by a beautifully rendered image of a cloudy and star-filled blue and pink sky with a crescent moon. The ethereal effect is well-suited to the book. The poetry changes from a dialog between an unsure young woman and her feminist fairy godmother who, through her responses, encourages the young woman to see herself as strong and independent, to poems that reimagine and reform the themes of the Cinderella story into poetic mantras that echo the woman as strong and independent theme of the first section. The effect is a book of poetry woven into a reminder to women that we are enough. Amanda Lovelace’s fairytale poetry revisions should be on every woman’s bookshelf, whether she be maiden, mother, or crone.

I’m new to poetry but I absolutely devoured this book and marked at least 50 pages. I adored the concept and loved the “advice” from the fairy god mother. I can’t wait to read more by this author!4.5 stars!

Another great selection from Amanda Lovelace. This one focuses on the fairy tale Cinderella.This fairy tale is one that women can definitely identify with. So many women get into the bad habit of looking for their perfect match and forget who they are.I love how her poetry sends screaming reminders of our own self-worth.Amanda Lovelace is an author I have followed for several years now and will continue to follow her amazing talent.

Lovelace has a way of getting into your soul and making you feel empowered. Even when your Fairytale goes a little in the wrong direction, you control getting it put back together. You are your own Fairy Godmother!

This book was wholesome in the way it was everything I needed to hear. I loved it with my whole heart and reading the last page made me swell with positive emotions ❤️

Based on the Cinderella story, this poetry book takes the form of the Evil Stepmother for any negative self talk and the Fairy Godmother for the positive encouraging statements.It's really uplifting, and I would recommend it to any women or girls who want a lift.It is part of the 3-Part Empowering Fairy stories.This would make a great gift as well for an older girl (at least older teenager) or woman in your life.Love it!

Five stars like all of Amandas poetry! Amazing work for every strong woman and those who want to turn into one! She reminded me that I don’t need anyones approval to be a bad witch 🙌🏽
