Libbey Imperial 16-Piece Tumbler and Rocks Glass Set

The glasses are very nice and have a classy look. They are very easy to hold and to drink from. The seller is absolutely fantastic. I bought this set of glasses as a Christmas present for my wife. When we opened the box on Christmas day, one of the tall glasses had a crack. I reached out to the seller on Christmas Day inquiring about a replacement glass. To my surprise, she answered my question within 30 minutes. That was on Christmas Day. And just like that - a replacement glass was sent to us. I cannot express my gratitude and how happy it made my wife. I highly recommend the product and this seller. Thank you!

So happy with these glases. Nice weight and thickness. I have teenage boys and they're holding up well. Clean well in the dishwasher. They look good on the table. Very reasonably priced. Packaged well for shipping - all intact upon arrival.

I love these glasses, they are very petty and seem to be quite sturdy. I gave them 4 stars on cleaning them because if you are hand washing them it's hard to dry the inside of the glass because the design is scalped on the inside, but not a problem if doing them in the dish washer which I do. Everything else I rare as 5 stars. Very happy with my purchase.

Original review 11/6/09:Like other reviewers, I was a little hesitant about possible breakage when I decided to purchase these glasses, but so far I've been pleased. It's only been about a month, but the way my husband and I pull glasses from the cabinet, it's always the same ones (in front) that are being used so these few glasses have gone through the dishwasher many times already.Amazon's packaging was excellent and there was not a chip, ding, dent, or scratch on the glasses upon arrival.The glasses have a good thick base (not necessarily level on the inside) and a decent thickness up top - I would say between 1/8-1/4" thick. One thing not stated in the product description (or any reviews that I recall) is that there is a very thin, faint line (seam) going up opposite sides of the glass from the molding. It's not a huge deal and many people might not even notice that they're there. It's less noticeable because of the design on the glasses; where two of the "star" (look into the glass and you'll see a four-pointed star) edges go up toward the top of the glass, that's where the seams will be. It's no big deal.Overall, having spent less than $20 for a set of 16 glasses, I'm very pleased. My husband really likes the tall ones because they can hold more beverage than our previous glasses; I prefer the shorter "juice" glasses, so the set makes a great combination. They're very pretty glasses and (so far) I'm happy with the purchase.EDIT 12/23/09:Almost two months later, and still no scratches, chips, breakage, anything. It seems that as long as you know how to load a dishwasher properly, there should be no problems with the glasses being too fragile.

These look nice and have a good weight to them. Easy to clean and the shorter ones fit snugly in the dishwasher. The taller ones are a little less stable feeling when I load them so I just try to be a little more careful with them. Overall I'm very happy with these and would buy again to replace them.

It's true that the taller 18-oz glasses are delicate. But my wife loves them so much and they are relatively inexpensive, so I buy them by the case once every four or five years. We probably break one a year. The thinness is by design; it's part of the glass' elegance. The smaller 13 ounce glasses are virtually indestructible, if that's any consolation. These are adult glasses. They are off-limits to children in our household. That's one way we avoid breakage. The other way is by not jamming them too close together in the dishwasher with other items. We've seen breakage that way too. If you're the kind of person who buys glassware expecting every glass to last 20 years, this set isn't for you. If you're the kind of person who enjoys form over function, I'd highly recommend them.

Glasses look nice and feel comfortable while drinking. Glasses are a little thin: I cracked one putting it in the dishwasher. Also bottom of glass is not completely flat. Doesn’t seem to be a problem, but I thought that was odd.

I upgraded to these glasses after a cheap brand/set from Walmart had me finding glasses spontaneously breaking in the top rack of the dishwasher (seriously). I've had this set for 3 years now and so far any broken glasses we've had were from our own fault (dropping in sink). The smaller cup has a heavy weight to it if that is something you are looking for. The tall glasses feel light at the top but haven't broken with regular use (only when dropped). I think I've only broken 3 glasses out of the whole set over 3 years. We use them everyday. This is the longest lasting set of glasses I've ever owned, so I think they have great durability! Highly recommend.

These are way stronger then youd expect I dropped one and tried to stop it with my foot but ended up kicking it clear across the room into a door and it didnt chip or crack.

Good glasses, really like the soze and quality of both.
