Awesome WiFi Gater Opener
We’ve had our Mighty Mule MM350 for years and it’s always served us well. We read that Mighty Mule recently released a whole new gate opener that is super “smart” so we ordered it through. Our unit is the MM371W with the MMS100. It arrived in less than a day and we installed it immediately. It was so easy!!! We had to reattach all of our accessories like our solar panels, and exit sensors. Our exit sensor wouldn’t work so we called Might Mule tech support. We found out that our new unit was so “smart” that we didn’t need that all of the wiring our last unit required as it functions as a remote. The guys that helped us were sooo awesome!! The new unit now allows us to open/close the gate from anywhere! So if we have someone who needs access to our property and we’re not home, we can grant them access... And if we want to give someone access, like family or friends, you can add people to your device without having to give them a physical remote or codes to the keypad. This new gate opener is AMAZING!!!

Do not buy this
This thing stinks, wouldn’t connect tried multiple times over a couple weeks and was going to return and tried one more time and it finally worked, worked great (a couple issues ) but it was so nice to be able to open and close the gate from my phone, until it glitched and it’s been 3 weeks of me trying everyday resetting at the gate plugging and unplugged both units, unplugged antennas I’ve tried everything , just tried to return it and it’s out of the return window now which was only 30 days which is complete crap. I’m very upset cuz this wasn’t cheap and they delivered a flawed unit and should back their merchandise and send a replacement. Do not buy this

Would not connect to gate.
Easily hooked up to wifi, however I could not get connected to my gate which is about 1000' away. Called customer support and nothing worked. Moved the " bridge" closer to the gate and still would not connect. Returned that one. Bought another from a different vendor. The new one had the same problem. I raised enough he'll that they escalated my case to the advanced team. After a month I finally got a call from them. They had me checknthe antenna connections on both the bridge ( which was fine) and the reciever on the box at the gate. Low and behold the antenna on the gate had two female connections. They admitted some units were sent from the factory with this defect. They sent an adapter which totally fixed my problem. The gate works great with the Nice Go App. UPDATE: After extensive phone calls and troubleshooting it seems there was a defect with the antenna. Mighty Mule sent an adapter to fix the problem and it connected and has been working flawlessly. It worked so well that I ordered a second gate opener for my other gate and hooked it up to the MM100.

Pain first setup but otherwise wonderful!
Despite the bad reviews this product has received, I really wanted to be able to open my gate for Guest while I am away if needed. So I decided it was time for the Mighty Mule MMS100 100 Wireless Connectivity System as the price dropped to around a hundred dollars. When you load the Mighty Mule application you are told it’s depreciated, and you must download Nice Go (their official new application support interface for the device). Once you install that app, it’s a simple walk though to connect to the device. However, there was an update on the device required and my devices kept dropping my home Wi-Fi connection or failing to update. It took me around 10 tries to get this update working. Once it downloaded the machine rest, and the light turned the appropriate color. My device is over 150 foot away from the gate system and seems to open and connect just fine. Google home integration works well, you do need to set a pin on the app for it to function. The app which is part of this devices interface now shows, history, open closed status and some other functions. The app allows you to make someone the co-owner without removing your ability, or a Guest limiting what the person can do with the app and history they can see. This guest part is great when people come over! The Good: Price went way down! Device is small and wall mountable. Connection speed and distances is good. Google Home integration. New app works like it should and shows history and open closed status. Multiple personnel supported and modes Cons: Short power cord. Updates can be a pain. Mighty Mule support sends you to a video which is old for setup.

App works most of the time
The product works well most of the time, but about once a month it gives the error gate is disconnected. In order to correct the problem you have to power the unit down and restart it. That is a real inconvenient sometimes for me since I am not at the house when I wanna open the gate for someone that is visiting. It seems like the error would be easily fixed because the device is still communicating with the gate. When I use the wireless remote, the app shows that the gate has been open and closed by the remote so I know the app is communicating with the gate. It just simply refuses to allow me to open or close the gate from the app.

Wrong colour but works well
Works as advertised. I did take one star off because mine is grey and not black but it’s not the end of the world. The app was a bit tricky to get started, but once it was set up it was easy to add others and set up secondary accounts. As others have mentioned the app sometimes is late on notifications and doesn’t always pick up when the gate has been opened or closed. A feature no one has mentioned is the charging indicator. Since my gate is only connected to solar power it’s nice to know that the panel is getting enough sun during the day to charge the battery.

Should be ZERO stars.
The engineering in this thing, front end to backend, hardware, and design people should all be taken out back and... well, scolded, anyway. I reverse engineer gizmos and gadgets for a living. I've seen my fair share of crappy designs, poor engineering, and products that are iffy to go to market with. But this thing... this thing is a disaster, plain and simple. There are too many problems to even get into. it's garbage. And then there's support. I pity these people, but they have been handed a script that just plain sucks; it does not help the customer AT ALL. After I kept at it with them for over an hour, someone from their parent company (it's not Mighty Mule that you deal with!!!) to tell me that they would a) send me a replacement, b) send me a return box, c) follow up with me. None of those things happened. It's been a few weeks now. I am seriously ******* DONE with Mighty Mule. I'm going to bite the cost bullet and try Ghost. I'm out, MM, I'm out. I thought I couldn't escape it- I was so sunk into all the peripherals, all the other parts, this, that, etc- that all keep BREAKING but somehow either get revived or I just buy another one- but this thing, this thing has finally soured me as a customer. I highly doubt you can make this right, MM, and won't be surprised at all if you never even read your comments. Why should you? you don't keep your promises, and don't reply to my emails. Phone calls are a joke. In all my years of dealing with gates and openers- or any other consumer device- never have I interacted with such a poor product. Seriously, it takes the cake. Prove me Wrong. Oh yeah, you CAN'T. And you KNOW IT.

Easy to install/setup
I see a lot of bad reviews of this unit but if you follow the step by step directions it is simple to setup. One note for people that can't pair their phone to the bridge: TURN OFF any auto VPN on an "unknown network" like ATT's Active Armor that I have before you try. The bridge appears as a possible "bad network access point" so that stage of the setup will fail if left on due to the VPN and will never connect. I installed the plugin unit in the control unit on the MM571W, powered on the bridge unit in the house followed by powering up the gate control board, followed the instructions pairing my smartphone to configure the bridge (after creating an account on Mighty Mule of course) to connect to my WiFi in the house and had the whole system working perfectly in less than 20 minutes. Works as it should both on my private WiFi network and via cellular only. Distance from bridge unit to gate is close to 200' through thick walls and the metal gate so did increase power to medium and works beautifully! Virtually no delay via either WiFi or cellular, maybe 1/2 second after touching the gate command. Opened and closed gate on both WiFi and cellular only several times and worked every time and I received notifications on every single open/close. Gate unit is also only solar powered with a 30w panel and two of the 7amp batteries with the auto locking system on the gate. Very happy with this whole setup for around $900 with the extra battery and third party solar panel.
