The pen writes smoothly. Has converted it into an eyedropper by applying neutral silicone grease on the threads. Works well without any ink leaks so far. The inner cap mechanism works fine and no stutter or starting problem has been observed even when pen is left unused for more than a week.

I love platinum preppy because it is low cost, high quality. But the pen I got had some problem with the nib feed: it stopped working a few days in, the ink wouldn't flow.A few more days in, the nib feed broke inside the cap when the pen fell just a few feet!What a waste of money to have a defective product. I use so many fountain pens and it was clear this one had been treated poorly in storage or something.The importer Swastik Pens who retails this in India serviced the pen for me for free, but clearly this Amazon seller doesn't do as good a job.

This pen is the best I had so far. It writes very smoothly. The one I got was "fine" but it writes like "extra fine" (without any scratchiness), even compared to other preppy pens.

Bought two pens. Have converted to eyedropper 4 hours back. Ink is still not flowing inneither pen. Not sure these are legitimate platinum preppy pens.

Amazing pen

Came well packaged, Its really smooth, better than those parkers and surprisingly smoother than my Lamy Vista, can be converted into a eyedropper for that big ink capacity but you will need silicone grease or a snuggly fit O ring could work as a substitute or of course you could do both. It has sufficient ink flow - doesn't skip when writing fast, it's line thickness is comparable to a parker Medium nib - it is a wee bit thicker than a western fine nib thicker than my Lamy fine but thinner than a Lamy medium; just at the sweet spot for me. Good for its price. Would prefer it to be a little more cheaper though.
