MixMatchy Women's Drawstring Lightweight Loose Fit Sleeveless Safari Vest Utility Jacket

I ordered this in a 1XL. This is a size or two larger than I normally take (L/XL, 14-16). It is for a safari in the winter and this will give me the wiggle room to add a warm sweater or fleece underneath in the early morning cold and also allow me to use it with a t-shirt during the warmer daytime.PROS: the product is made of a good solid cotton (100%). It is breathable. It says dry clean only but I never do that. So I washed it in cold water and hung it to dry. Perfect. I did iron it, at least for the first round, to get those packing wrinkles out. The length land just below my crotch. I was looking for a longer vest and this one fit the bill. The drawstring sits below my breast, not as pictured at the waist. I have a full bust and for someone smaller up top it may hang lower...at the waist. However, I am not unhappy about that because the cinch just below the bust is very flattering and gives me "freedom to move".CONS: It arrived very wrinkled. It would be nice is the fabric was wrinkle resistant. It has two pockets and one fake zippered one. Really? Make the zippered pocket real. It will not cost that much more. The biggest expense is the zipper and the labor to sew it in...you are already doing that! Pockets in the interior would be great for travel and I would pay extra for that.All in all a great value for the money.

I ordered dark olive but what I received was more of a chocolate brown. I kept it because I was leaving on vacation the next morning and didn’t have time to get the correct color. Ultimately I wanted something somewhat lightweight with lots of pockets and a hood, and this utility vest delivered on those requirements. The pockets could have been a bit larger for my massive cell phone, but the pocket placement was excellent and I liked the snaps. The drawstring waist was nice for shape, but if you keep it snapped together it highlights any tummy you might have.

This could have been a five-star review. Had the item description been accurate, it *would* have been a five-star review. Instead, this is a one-star review, because the item description contains a gratuitous, bald-faced lie: "FEATURING: Drawstring For The Slim Look/ Two Side Pockets/ One Zipper Chest Pocket." There is a drawstring that would probably yield a "slim look" if I were willing to lay off the doughnuts once in a while. There are two side pockets. But there is NOT a zipper chest pocket; there is only a zipper, with a strip of fabric about the width of a piece of bias tape sewn behind it to keep a gaping hole from opening up in the chest if you are naive enough to trust the product description and open the zipper.I bought this vest to use when I train dogs. The pictures and description led me to believe that I would have enough pocket space for my phone, keys, clicker, poo baggies, business cards, and maybe a spare leash. I planned to have a local custom-embroidery company put my dog-training business name and logo on the back of the vest so I could wear it when I'm working with dogs.The absence of that zipper pocket wouldn't necessarily have been a dealbreaker. The vest came in a color that coordinates nicely with my logo. It looks good. It fits well. It seems fairly well-made. (The zipper on the front sticks a little bit, but it also has snaps, so there's a Plan B if the zipper eventually fails, as zippers will.) And I usually wear jeans and a treat pouch when I'm training, so I don't really *need* the third pocket. But I don't appreciate being lied to, and this product description is a cold, hard lie.I probably won't return the vest, because I live in a small, rural town, and the nearest UPS store is 80 miles away. I have a sewing machine. I can design my own pocket and sew it into this vest faster than I can drive all the way to Clovis and back. But I am NOT happy with this company's dishonesty. The ol' fake-pocket trick is disappointing under the best of circumstances, but when you've gone out of your way to tell people the fake pocket is real? I am pretty sure that was the kind of deception Dante Alighieri had in mind when he dreamed up the torments of the Malebolge in the Inferno.

I was looking for a more fashionable vest to pair with long sleeves during the chillier months, and ordered this in a small, in Dark Burgundy. For reference I'm 5'3",150 lbs, 36-31-42.I knew I would cinch the waist for a more fitted look over thin long-sleeves shirts/turtlenecks, but there's so much extra material, it poofs out a bit along my arm pits and along the back of my waist (though I don't think this is too noticeable). If I were to wear a thicker sweatshirt this would likely not be a problem. I tried washing the garment but it did not shrink from what I could tell. Honestly, they should include the hip size--as it just barely fits around my hips, but is comically large around the waist and chest (though maybe that's just a me problem lol).My biggest gripe is it's a total lint magnet--and I need to roller it off every time before I wear it. Every little fuzzy shows. Otherwise the color choices are wonderful, and in general is super cute. I may consider purchasing this again in another color.

I ordered this to replace one that I had bought elsewhere - the zipper broke. I specifically avoided that brand, and ordered this one. To my surprise the brand was not "mix matchy" but the exact brand of the one I tried to avoid. I'm fine for now but skeptical that the zipper will hold up on this one for very long.

The material makes it prone to wrinkles but a quick iron solves the problem. I love the color and always get compliments.

I like this vest. The style, fit and material are as expected. I've worn it only one time so far. One negative The snap on each of the 2 bottom front pockets broke within 10 minutes. Otherwise it's a great vest.
