Magical product. LOVE and recommend!
The feel of the morphing matter is magical. I bought this because my 4 year old daughter loves dinosaurs, the National Geographic name, and I was intrigued by what the morphing matter was like. When I first opened the bag of morphing matter, it was compressed for packaging purposes. The feel reminded me of crumbly old foam like from an old cushion or something. For that brief first moment I was disappointed. However, after breaking it up and fluffing it up, the feeling of the morphing matter in my hands was captivating. I could probably sit there manipulating the morphing matter with my hands and lose track of time because the feel of it is so unique and magical. Seriously, the feel is so soft and relaxing that I could probably use it at my office for stress relief. The box it comes in is so sturdy that I dont need a separate container to hold anything. The morphing matter does not dry out. It is not sand or play-doh. My daughter likes to create "hills" and "caves" for the little dinos (6 total) that are in the set. She also incorporated a few of her PJ Mask and Peppa Pig toys to play with the dinos. All of this play happens within the box it comes it. That is how sturdy the box is.Also, if any of the morphing matter comes out of the box, because of the nature of the product to be dry yet stick to itself, clean up is a breeze. The bright green color is also helpful for clean up purposes. It is easy to spot if any of it got out of the box.The book is not a story book. It's very statistical and something I could use to reference facts if I were needed to conduct research on the different dinosaurs, so that was a little disappointing. I was hoping it was a book I could read to my daughter which included facts about the different dinosaurs. That's okay, though, since she loves the product itself so much.

The stuff of dreams and epic nat-geo scenes!
Really cool kit that we used for my daughter's science exhibit. The snow was very cool! Easy to play with and surprisingly easy to keep together and clean up.A warning: It's addicting to play with and I found myself pretty much hijacking my kid's homework so I could create avalanches and snow-in the poor defenseless animals. To be fair, I tried to help them escape, but the box, that doubles as a diorama, is very high quality and there was nothing they could do.After several minutes of hard-core, National Geographic quality scenes, my daughter regained control of her homework and we finished up setting the snow and included animals up in a cool display that got her some oohs and aahs.Would definitely buy again as it was loads of fun. My only critical comment, if considered critical, is that the included animals are very small and not to scale. The wolves are either as big as a beluga whale and a polar bear, or the beluga is an alien tuna. Don't get me started on the VW bug sized owl.Fun stuff!

Funky smell but tons of fun
This had a really weird smell that was almost nauseating for me but didn’t bother my son to much. He played with this for hours. Loved it! Very hard to clean up if it falls into Carpet so beware.

Polar Region set: Awesome
I ordered this to try out this kinetic snow and because of the ease of the presentation a child of about age 4 and up could work with. My daughter had a Polar region presentation for school and this set, along with extra animals I ordered from another brand, worked great. She loved the snow. It's not a ton of it, but more than enough for the box we used, plus the background sky is really useful and looks great. The animals in this set are indeed small, maybe an inch and half across in measurement, but since I had ordered extra animals we didn't mind. They are really cute, and the helpful booklet from National Geographic Kids was a bonus. I'd recommend it to anyone. The price is very reasonable for a wonderful learning tool for all kids.

Recommend for any age kids!! We love it!
These is absolutely the best purchase I have ever made as for toy wise. So first this is NOT slime, play dough. It's actually foam. Feels so soft. When I opened the box I was shocked to see a small bag of green foam. However admittedly after opening the little bag this stuff grew triple it size and it was fun watching it grow. The box is super sturdy and great to play in. The book is super advance for the 4 year old however she did enjoy hearing her brother read it to her. I recommend this, especially for little ones. My 9 & 11 year old are asking for their own now.

Messy
It’s not as easy to clean as it claims. It’s hard to pick up the spilled matter with a ball of matter (because it morphs out of a ball form). Vacuums up well, but eventually I won’t have any because it’s all been spilled and vacuumed. :D Kids love it, it feels great, and is fun to play with. I bought for my three year old to use while we did our school lessons (we are doing an ocean unit). His older sisters (5 & 9) love it too.

Better than a stress ball
It’s like super soft squishy shredded sponge. For those that hate sand boxes for good reason. You get enough for a medium cheap Tupperware container to fill. The kid will do some imagination play and likes how it unsquishes like it is kinetic. If you wish you had more to actually lay down in, that means great product. I haven’t seen all the ways that a kid might annoy you with this product...to me, it is for outside in a garage play area kept in the really cheap Tupperware.

Nice change from just buying kinetic sand only
The sea creatures were a nice addition along with the pamphlet. The sand is relatively easy to clean up compared to regular sand. Playdoh is easier to clean up though because it sitcks together easier
