I recently moved to a new city and found myself replacing a whole lot of things, including a couple of rooms in my old house that functioned as a recording studio. Long story short, I needed to create a vocal booth to reduce the noise that my sensitive microphone picks up. What does this have to do with these thick wire hangers, you ask? After fashioning the skeleton of a booth from 1" PVC pipe, making this project work required hanging a bunch of surprisingly heavy (the kind you pick up and go "oof") sound-dampening panels from the top pipes.The panels are designed to be hanged like paintings, so a normal short wire hanger would cause them to bump up against the top of the frame. I eyeballed the distance and ended up buying these hangers, hoping that they'd be long and strong enough to clear the top of the frame. Long story short, they worked perfectly. All it took were some zip ties to lock down the left/right positioning and I had the upper acoustic panels secured tightly.This project simply wouldn't have worked if these S hooks were less sturdy or not as long as they appear to be on the store page, and if they can hold those heavy acoustic panels, they can hold just about anything.

I use these to hang bird feeders, chimes, bells and interesting whatnots in my favorite tree. These hooks have helped me make a fairyland that the squirrels, birds and I enjoy.

I got these hooks to allow my smaller bird feeders to hang lower from the 4-way pole they're on. I also used a few of the hooks to make hanging some gourd bird houses (that had thin wire hangers) from small tree branches easier. The hooks are very sturdy, and seem to be great quality. They are bronze - a really dark brown color, and they look fine with my black bird poles. I am very happy with them!

These hooks are very heavy duty, but not as wide as it looked like. They will not fit over a 2x4/6 board on the porch or trellis, these boards are on their sides so less than 2 inch width. The hooks do work other places well, but that was disappointing to not use them for hanging plants and chimes where we wanted to.

Thus far I've used them to hang bird feeders from my trees. I purchased some eighteen inch hooks which were far more costly but these actually work better in my situation.

Needed hooks to hang some heavy wrought iron baskets. These worked great needed the strength to hold 35 lbs or more.

Used to hold a floating Christmas tree together. Held the rings together nicely and made it easy to put together and take apart. Also sturdy enough to hold all the weight.

Perfect for ornaments on trees in AZ. Nice longer S hooks can help get ornaments low enough to see and/or solar ornaments reach the sunshine to get recharged. Two hooks together work too.
