good parts, but a very difficult job.
I ordered these parts for a 2004 Tundra. They fit just fine. However, if you are also putting these on a Toyota 4.7 engine. . . . . . .whoa buddy!!! That is the most difficult water pump to put on I have EVER done. About 18-20 engine parts have to come off to get to the water pump, including the timing belt. So be ready to lay out your parts in order and label each part along with placing the correct bolts that go with them. But the new parts were a perfect fit.

The alternative part!
It fit my 2005 ford f150 truck with 5.4 triton engine. I knew when my truck started missing very bad that what was the problem, having experienced it twice before with same truck in 5 years. This time they where metal sounds coming from engine. The bottom side retaining ring and washer fell into engine. I can only hope they made there way to the oil pan.. The part arrived 2 days earlier than expected and installed very easy. Got the truck running like before, actually better..The reason for 4 stars is the screw is not threaded in the flange part that holds it in place.. So You Have To Be Very Careful About Not Dropping it down in the motor.Very happy with purchase. I hope the parts will stay together for years to come..

cured a driver side passenger ticking sound
my 2004 FX4 5.4 3V has 245K miles, I bought it used last year just to take my boat to the lake so it's not my daily driver and wasn't so concerned with the mileage, also got it for pretty cheap since people don't like these triton engines, but I am mechanically inclined so wasn't too concerned if it needed a full timing job etc. Well we just took the truck on a 500 mile round trip and the engine was ticking pretty back on the drivers side, oil pressure is good, I have changed the oil twice in the 1 year of ownership so far and the transmission was whining when downshifting. I decided to change out the trans filter and replace 5 quarts trans fluid that the pan holds, that solved the whining issue then decided to see if the spark plugs I replaced when i bought the truck last year had come loose and was causing the tick. that was not the issue but I remembered I hadalready bought these solenoids and never installed them, I decided to replace just the driver side as that was still the original ford unit and the passenger side looked like it has been replaced fairly recently. I was surprised that when restarting the truck the ticking sound was GONE just from replacing the VCT solenoid so they are worth replacing before diving into a full cam phaser, timing job on these 5.4. I'm eventually going to do a full timing job, but not in a rush to do so now!

2010 Mustang GT
Amazing for the price and works just as good as OEM!!! But here's my 2 cents...I'm a certified automotive mechanic and despite what most people are saying about theirs failing after a few miles/hundred miles. I race my car and also daily it, I have no issues what so ever after installing these puppies. The car has over 104K miles on the motor and its got every performance bolt on you can imagine!Once I got these I tested the continuity to make sure they were sound and proceeded to clean them first! That's right you need to clean off the preservative and then soak them in motor oil. I use 5w30... and before someone says anything, these motors are meant to run on 5w30. Ford uses 5w20 for MPG and CAFE standards so they aren't taxed as much due to federal emission regulations.Check them first, clean them, soak them for at least 30 mins in your motor oil of choice (mine was 5w30) I had them submerged all the way to about where the black connection is clipped into the head of the solenoid and I would periodically shake them and get as much bubbles out as possible. Then just leave them in their until you are ready to install.Sincerely Mr J

Have to modify to fit
The timing chain guide that goes to the VVT's has to have the round metal bolt hole flipped around to fit properly. You will need snap ring pliers. Also the very top chain guide that bolts to the head, the plastic guide was on the wrong side (top side) and I had to remove and set in place on the bottom side. If I had not caught this mistake, it very well would have caused failure.

Save old parts
I bought this set and it fit well and was of good quality. Except I had to reuse one piece because it was taller and would not allow reinstall of tappet cover.

Quality product.
Product is of better quality than the original OEM pump. This pump is an after market product that ressembles the Porsche’s water pump which is more HD. Would recommend to have it installed by a professional technician as the pump is located underneath the intake manifold which needs to be removed. Many parts and connectors are involved and I did not attempt my own install.
