Glenndarcy Female Dog Nappy - Urine Incontinence - Poppers (Size XL Pants & 2 Washable Pads, Black)

OK, so I rarely bother to write reviews on Amazon, despite always reading through other reviews before I purchase anything. The fact that I am writing one highlights my delight and confidence in this product. I have an 11 year old Toy Poodle that has some psychological 'issues' and sometimes forgets to ask to go outside for a wee; she also sleeps in a crate at night and usually wees herself when she is asleep in there, hence why I wanted to try the Glendarcy nappies/dog pants for nighttimes primarily. I was a little reluctant at first to spend so much money on a doggy nappy but looking at Amazon reviews the Glendarcy incontinent dog pants were consistency the washable nappies that came out on top for quality and for reliability. I bought a brown pair and a pink pair (the popper style ones), size small, with some extra washable nappy pads. Despite reviews I was still sceptical as to whether they would be absorbent enough - my wife baulked at them and said 'they won't absorb much' (and she is usually right about everything of course!!!!). So, last night I was a little excited but also apprehensive! My Toy Poodle (Rosie) is used to me putting on newborn baby nappies on her at night - I would cut a tail hole in them but of course when she got up and shook her tail in the morning, whilst having a stretch and being overly-excited to see me, all the damp semi-hardened bits of gel that soak up the urine would fly all around the floor out of the tail hole and need vacuuming up straight away, which I had really had enough of!!! Anyhow, last night I stuck a lady's sanitary towel into one of the nappies over the top of the washable pad that I had attached inside the nappy with the popper fixings (the lady's sanitary towel was supplied with the nappies so that you could try them on your dog hygienically). It looked just like a 'regular' Tesco Value type sanitary towel so nothing expensive/guaranteed so was still sceptical re absorbency! So, the big test was this morning when I opened up Rosie's nighttime crate - she came out and did her usual stretch, vigorous tail wagging and running around. Her nappy stayed on her all night and even after her tail wagging, stretching and 'bouncing around' this morning her nappy remained on her; the strong popper fastenings are very secure! I took her downstairs and removed her nappy which was completely dry, removed the disposable lady's sanitary towel which had absorbed at least one full wee and was sodden/heavy, but the washable nappy and the washable pad were completely dry and stain free. I was amazed, very happy and impressed with the nappy. I put the nappy (with the clean, dry washable nappy pad) straight into the washing machine just for 'freshening up' as they were not soiled at all, safe in the knowledge that these are worth every penny and do exactly what they say and knowing that I have the second nappy to use for this evening. Why did I never think to buy these before; they are fantastic and save me having to vacuum up damp semi-hardened gel bits from a disposable nappy that has 'exploded' from excessive tail wagging first thing in the morning!!!! I will definitely be buying a third one of these Glendarcy nappies/incontinence dog pants as they are so very very good, secure fitting and look the 'dog's wotsits', lol!!!! The cost of disposable nappies versus the cost of these means that in no time at all these washable ones will 'pay for themselves':-) Thank you Glendarcy!

My little elderly dog had a stroke and miraculously in about three weeks she was almost back to normal. She still has a few issues, one being she sometimes now wee's indoors. (she had never done that before). I started to put pads/sheet things down on the floor, but of course she always went around them! I searched through Amazon and read all the reviews for all the options and decided Glenndarcy Dog Pants were the way to go.The pants arrived quickly and beautifully wrapped.They are really well-made and a great design, but I mistakenly ordered Small, my dog is a Jack Russell, probably Bichon cross and they were too tiny, really (although brilliantly adjustable). I got onto Customer Service and they were on to it. I sent them back and reordered. It took no time, at all.In hindsight I would have ordered extra padded linings (they provide two) but I now buy Bodyform Ultra pads and although thin, work really well, on most occasions...Although I will be ordering a spare pair of pants asap,for the rare times they do leak.My dog only needs to wear these when I leave the house for any length of time, other than that I can let her out..but they are gentle enough to be worn all of the time, I would say.I cannot recommend this product or the company enough.Well done, Glenndarcy!

I bought these for a very special and beloved old lady Akita. She had become quite leaky with age and these were a God-send that kept both her and I sane. They are so fantastic that I ended up buying 4 pairs in the end, so as to always have a pair washed and ready after any leakage from a pad or faecal "surprises". They wash beautifully and come up like new every time - be sure to follow the washing instructions to the letter (wash at 60° and tumble dry on your coolest setting or they will shrink ever so slightly each time - I learned the hard way! My own fault for trying to save time... Luckily they are adjustable if you find yourself in the same boat). The poppers are very strong and leave no chance of opening by themselves - they can even be trusted to use as a "handle" if your ageing pooch has a weak back end and requires some gentle support getting up from time to time. The pads are very absorbent, although I ended up using stick on disposables with the pants so as to have my washing machine free for when the pants needed to be washed. All in all I have no hesitation in recommending these to anyone with a leaky pooch. They are brilliant and I'm so glad I found them. Thank you Glendarcy for saving my sanity and my little girl's dignity.

Luckily I haven't needed to use them for my elderly little dog as her weeing in the house seems to have been a bit of a one-off (twice) - luckily and she is back to being continent. She is a spayed bitch so I haven't needed them for when she is in heat, but I know people who have and they have saved a lot of mess and upset. Very well made, double-stitched and the poppers are quite stiff, so unlikely to pop open - much better than velcro would have been. The extra pads are also very useful and make the whole thing easy to use and to wash. Recommended.
