Alright
It's alright

Magnets are loose
Works well, the larger plates attach by magnets. These magnets can be a bit weak, my only real issue.

Easy to use to retract brake pistons
I have used a c clamp in the past with no issue but thought this looked like it might be a great tool also. I've used it on 3 brake jobs now and it works very well. The biggest issue is the magnets to hold on the larger pads is a little weak and they like to fall off when not in use. For my purposes so far I've been able to use just the smaller attached pads. Makes it pretty easy to get the pistons retracted. I would recommend this item to a friend if the were looking to do a brake job one their own vehicles.

It's ok.
Would be better if the ratcheting action would grab all the time. You seem to need to hold it a specific way for it to work properly. I find using a large 10" long c clamp a bit easier. Bought this out of curiosity. It's now yet another tool in my collection. Use it when I feel like it.

Made things easier!
I ordered this to change the pads on an F350, and it made compressing the dual pistons very easy. The only real drawbacks were I had to use one of the old pads tas a spacer to make this tool wide enough to compress the front pistons completely, and it requires a little bit of tension for the ratchet system to work. Overall I would probably buy it again.

Works as advertised
Works as advertised. Nice to have the extra larger steel plates so it can be used on different cars easily. Two drawbacks that I've encountered was in one situation I was unable to fit the initially and had to compress the piston in another way to fit the tool. The other issue was I had trouble with the ratcheting mechanism.

Mechanics don't "NEED" every tool, but this one is pretty cool.
This is useful to squeeze down the caliper piston so you can reinstall fresh pads on nearly all calipers using a piston that squeezes pads on a rotor. if you have a car with twisting action, you will probably need a key for a socket wrench of sorts but that's really uncommon.Make sure you know what kind of calipers you have - can you squeeze em, or do they twist. For the Majority of calipers out there, this tool works really well - once you have pressure, you can use the socket wrench design to ratchet open to squeeze the calipers outward and make them flush! really simple. comes with a couple of sizes for people with really big brakes on like trucks. Great tool, good price.
