Not as good as older versions; upper arm picc lines will likely need help getting this on and off safely.
Not as good as earlier version I had from years ago. I had to purchase recently to replace one I have had for years that was excellent (homecare accidentally discarded mine in the trash). The old version I believe was silicon, stretchy, resilient and I could get over the picc line myself. That previous version worked fantastic and would rate five stars. Thus I have recommended this product to MANY people since. This current product is a different material which decreases my review by three stars. It is a stiffer plastic feeling, not as stretchy or resilient. It is extremely difficult to get over a picc line on the upper arm (the older version was not difficult). I had to have assistance with the new one to stretch and pull it both at the same time to get safely over the picc line and up into place so it would not leak. It did not fit itself to the arm nearly as well and was painful. The old version was not at all like this. Both old and new are size "large". This product still works but it's more difficult to use with upper arm picc lines and most people will need help to get it safely on and off without damage to their line. A product that makes one less independent, to me, is not as good as one that most can use without assistance. The manufacturers should really consider a review of materials because otherwise this really can work very well! It's clear that others are having difficulty with the stiff not so resilient material as well. Maybe cheap materials mean they don't last as long and they gain more sales? I am not sure I will recommend this to anyone or if I do I will with the warning they will need to make sure they have help and order large if the picc is in the upper arm and don't be surprised when it stretches out of shape. The other thing with the change in material - it is harder to air dry after showering and wants to stick to itself. With assistance in getting it on and off my arm, this worked well but was clearly not going to hold up as just about 20 uses it was already misshapen.. A good lesson in don't fix it if it isn't broke.

Best option around
As another reviewer mentioned, this is so much better and trying to wrap the arm in saran wrap. I was able to put the protector on by myself so I didn’t need someone to help me. I bought this to keep my pic line dry while I showered. I was still careful to keep that arm out of direct water but nothing penetrated. No water got inside at either end. I might suggest purchasing a size larger than your measurements. My upper arm measured 15 inches so I bought the large size for 15 to 22 inches. I was concerned it might be too loose at the top but did not have that problem. I suspect the opening will stretch out overtime but it was plenty tight out of the box. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that has a PICC line.Update:Four weeks later and I’m still thrilled with this product. I use it every day when I shower. The top opening has relaxed slightly but still gives a watertight seal. Generally I don’t purge the excess air but it seems to work just as well either way. I am extremely pleased with how easy it is to use this product and how well it performs.

Terrific for PICC lines
Terrific for PICC lines. Amazon sells them for a great price. You can get one here for $10 less than at allegro medical. I've tried the Dry Pro ones that pumps out the air but they are very expensive, very chalky, and not worth it when you can buy 2 or 3 of the "Brown Med SEAL-TIGHT" protectors. All you do is put your arm through the sleeve and squeeze the excess air from it so it forms a seal-tight protection from water in the shower. (Don't use in pools, it's not meant for that) I usually buy 2 at a time but each one should last for two months. I have had a PICC line for quite awhile.I take a shower every day so that's 60 uses or more from a $16.81 item !!! Just be careful with it. Don't just whip it on and off. Take time to make sure nothing sharp or pointy will rip into it (ie.PICC line shutoff clips) I just leave the stocking net or sock over the PICC line and pull the waterproof sleeve over everything. This is a winner for sure!!!! I'm just so glad I finally found something that works !!!!

Does what it's supposed to
I used this as the instructions stated and used with all the air removed. It worked well for many showers and didn't let any water in. The seal was very good. So good that you could probably go swimming with the thing on, but I wouldn't risk it. Having it on for 10-15 minutes made my arm ache a bit from the constant pressure. At first I was going to go with a competing product that was tube shaped and skin colored, but ultimately opted for this and I'm glad that I did. The material was very flexible, which allowed for free movement without having to be constantly conscious about water getting in. That peace of mind was very appreciated. Not sure the material had to be as large as it was, but I think they tried to cover all bases of arm sizes and allow for the best freedom of movement.I was able to use this with the ends both above and below the elbow as well as both being above the elbow just outside of either side of the PICC line dressing.

I'm perfectly happy and content to take baths with these
I have had a PICC line for the past 6 months, and I have taken many, many showers in that time. And this is my go to product to keep the dressing dry and secure. The watertight seal on this is true to its name. I'm perfectly happy and content to take baths with these, and will keep water out even while completely submerged for a length of time - at least for a week or so after you get it. The openings that create the seal will stretch out slowly over time, in my experience they last for about a month of daily use before water will start leaking in during a shower. But $15-20 a month is an incredibly cheap price to pay for a comfortable and easy way to keep a dressing dry.
