Supplying Demand 5304485917 134564200 Front Load Clothes Washer Shock Absorber Replacement Kit Model Specific Not Universal

My washer was knocking back for quite a while, upon doing some research and inspection, I determined that the shocks were just bad (they were in fact shot and not doing anything). These fixed the knock. facing the front of the washer, the one on the right side was a bear to get replaced. you need to take off the drain line to get to it. I fought for an hour hours attempting to get the clamp back on when it dawned on me to zip tie the the clamp to keep it open enough to get it in place. Once it was all in place, just cut the zip tie to release it and all was good.

They fit and work well for now. Time will tell as to how long they last.

I wish these came with new pins. These "shocks' were recently installed so I can not comment on life span. The original ones were completely damaged. When holding the top, the lower part would fall out. The OE shocks and springs lasted 16 years. This is in a Kenmore/Frigidaire front loading washer.One spring failed, maybe due to the failed shocks. These seem strong enough although only 2 washes so far. I will report if they fail in the near future. But so far that seem a decent quality and installed properly.

Parts are easy to install once you get the back panel off the washer. Only takes a couple of minutes. Washer was very quiet after installed.

When new, this damper has about an inch of free play with almost no damping. I though this was maybe intentional, so I installed it anyway. Then the grease ran out of it and made a bit of a mess. Machine still vibrates. When I took one of the original dampers our of the machine, one that was not cracked, it had no free play. Sadly, I am past the return window. I purchased a different damper from another source to replace this.

My machine was making a horrible noise on the final spin. Googled the heck out of it shocks were the most common issue. Read the reviews people were saying the shocks didn't help with there machine doing the same issue make me nervous so I ordered springs aswell. New shock looked diferant than the 14 year old original ones again nervous. One one of the two springs came in the day I did the repair. I had to do laundry the noise was still there. The other spring shows up a day later and you couldn't tell while installed but it was stretched. I geuss what I'm getting at CHECK YOUR SPRINGS ALSO . Working good now the zon pulls threw again thanks

Unit have a apx a 1/2 in of slop in the pisten that may cause added vibrations. I think it would better if There was no slop and more of a smooth action!

I have used these in two different washers I own and have learned that in general washing machine shocks are wearable items and they only last a few years before they become useless. These parts simply are not designed to last very long and washing full heavy loads destroys the quickly. I will now likely be replacing these every three years. This product was constructed better than the originals that came in my Maytag and Whirlpool washers and I will buy these again.
