Since life forms continue to evolve, so does the need for changing products. Currently (20yy) this product works very well in California for the trillions of ants that invade my house. I also am pleased to find one that does not upset or harm my cats. I also feed feral cats and outside feed constantly attracts these ants and again I can protect the cats. It is easy to apply, it looks like seeds, and does not stain. it stays in place and does not blow up in your face in windy conditions (unlike powders). Handle appropriately: gloves and then clean your pants and shoes afterwards. I used to purchase this from Home Depot, but it is more convenient to get it thru Amazon Smile."I don't care if ants want to live in the ground under my house, but my home is above the ground and that's where I draw the line-stay out of my home!"

We have massive amounts of ants every year. As soon as it warms up, into the house they come. On the counters, in the pantry, and the bathrooms. Doesn't matter if everything is spotless, as they're still attracted to moisture. Spread this around the perimeter, sure. But definitely spread it exactly where the ants are entering and exiting. I'm telling you it works. Understand that it can take several days. Lots of ants eat the stuff up while others carry it back to the queen. Whenever I use it, all ants are gone in less than a week. No spraying, or paying for a service. Love this stuff.

The only thing that will slow down Texas Leaf Cutter Ants. Even then you need to find the mound(s) and really let them have it.

This is a great product for killing ants and prevent them from getting into the house. If you walk around your house and shake it along the foundation, it kills ants before they have a chance to get into the house. I also use it when I find an ant mound in my yard by sprinkling some on top and then stirring up the ants with a stick. The worker ants take it in their tunnels and good by ants. I ordered this because my local store did not carry it any longer.

I can't rate this product high enough. I've been dealing with a pavement ant problem in my house for almost 5 years. I've tried everything: sugar baits (Terro, which is a good product), home-made baits using peanut butter with boric acid, dusting with diatomaceous earth, silica, Delta dust, you name it. Nothing has eliminated them, only put a dent in their numbers for a little while. I have been using this product for the past half a year around the outside of my house, and according to the instructions. Every summer the pavement ants are normally everywhere outside, no matter what I do. This year I sprinkled this product around the outside of my house and anywhere I found them close to my house. After a short while I noticed that I didn't see any of them anywhere outside or inside. This is the first year, now that it's getting cold out, that there hasn't been an influx of these ants into my house. I had all but given up the fight against these pests thinking it was a lost cause. Absolutely amazing!

Maybe 3½ stars. Shaker bottle makes it easy to apply. Does it work? Honestly hard to tell. In general I have found that environmental regulations have so weakened ant killers so much none of them seem to work as well as they used to. Amdro does seem to keep our ant infestation more or less under control. I find I have to apply it fairly regularly, but that may be due to the situation I mentioned, above, and due to the excessive rainfall my area receives.

Ants stripped all my new Vinca plants right down to the stems in the dark of night-- there were hundreds of the little buggers! I replanted all my pots, sprinkled Amdro around the pots and haven't seen one ant since. I'm keeping watch since the product is supposed to work for three months, but this time I'm ready with my Amdro and feel well armed. This is a very effective product.
