Pros:-Very Warm:It's not a coat that's going to keep you warm enough when it's below zero with tons of snow outside, but it'll definitely keep you warm during the cold fall/spring weather and it also serves as a wonderful undercoat. I find myself getting too hot whenever wearing it, even working outside in ~15 - 20F weather.-Material:I personally like the material. The inside has a sort of patterned black lining with a sort of ""rubber"" feel to it. (I don't like using the word rubber for it, but it's about the closest approximation I can get). Assumably the material is there for extra insulation and waterproofing and I can assure you that I've never once felt a drop of water make it inside this coat after wearing it for multiple months and in the heavy rain a few times already.-Zipper:This one is important to me, because really, if it falls off the coat becomes a lot less useful. The zipper is made out of a really nice (brass?) metal, which will NOT easily fall apart. I've had coats in the past where zippers falling off was an issue, so this durable zipper is definitely a plus.-Pockets:It has the obvious two outside pockets, as well as an inner left hand side pocket about halfway up the chest. I find it perfect for storing my phone, especially since I know it won't be getting wet in there.-Comfort:It definitely is not a giant pillow strapped to you. There is a textured feel of the material itself that is not soft and cushy, but more textured than anything else. I wouldn't say it felt uncomfortable at all, I personally like the material and find it hard to see why anyone would dislike it.-Weight:It's definitely heavier than some other zip ups I've had and I love it. The weight really makes it feel like it's actually living up to what it's worth, while not being too heavy to make it a burden to wear.-Size:I bought a large and I usually wear large shirts, XL if I want a bit looser and Large seemed to fit me perfectly. Not much else to say about size.-Build Quality:This coat is DEFINITELY built VERY DURABLY. I've tossed it around, got it caught on things, rubbed up against wood/metal etc. and this jacket just holds up very well. It feels very nice and not like a cheap thin or plastic jacket would.Cons:The only real con I could think of is possibly the lack of a "super comfortable" inside material. Like I said before, it doesn't matter to me, but it'd probably be a bit nicer if it did have a softer inside material. That being said, it still is something I can wear all day and have no problems with.Overall: I definitely recommend this to anyone who really needs a warm transitional coat from summer to winter and also a coat that'll work underneath another to keep you even warmer. It's durable, built to last, pretty much everything a good coat is.

A Large and Extra Large size was purchased for a woman who is 5’4”, ~200 lbs., bust of 38-40”, hips are ~43” (it’s a guess) and wears size 38 waist pants. She wanted it longer than the women’s.I bought two (XL and L) because I wasn’t sure about the size. The XL was too big in the arms but fit well around the hips. She decided to keep the L and just folds under the tighter zipper part. She kept the navy one which is a nice rich color. It can be mistaken for black if you’re wearing lighter colors (she loves that).Nice and warm, great for water repellent and if you do get wet; you still stay pretty warm. It is a VERY HEAVY sweatshirt, so don’t hang it on a plastic hanger. It will literally bend it off the rod. 😉It’s a Carhartt, so the quality is definitely there. Although it had a couple of loose stitches upon arrival, it’s nothing you wouldn’t see in a traditional store. It arrived in a box that was crushed a bit, but the bag inside kept the sweatshirt nice and clean.Excellent choice for a Christmas present for 2017 (I’m way late on writing my review). However, this has given us a year to use, abuse and wash this thing. It still looks new- it’s been washed with all kinds of things; from jeans to underwear 😳 (we have two kids- if the laundry gets done it’s a win).The zipper on this thing is nice and thick/strong, but could nick clothing. It feels a little “sharper” than other pant zippers. I recommend you zip it up before washing. If I had my druthers, I would probably wash it with cold water, maybe a towel or two and couple pairs of thick sweatpants (or similar). I definitely have to make sure the washer spins on “high,” because this thing holds the water when getting washed.In summary of this long review - get it if you’re looking for a sweatshirt that can be worn alone until about 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit. Great product and brand, have had rain defender products in the past. Only complaint is the fit is much larger than standard sizing.

Es una sudadera genial, sin embargo es mejor pedir dos tallas menos de lo usual, puesto que viene muy amplia tal como dicen las reseñas, normalmente uso talla grande, así que decidí adquirirla en talla mediana y me quedo grande, mido 1.76 cm y peso 83 Kg. Había pensado en devolverla debido al tamaño , no obstante su protección rain defender te protege muy bien de la lluvia, así como del frío, por lo cual decidí conservarla y utilizarla para capas. Sin duda la volveré a adquirir pero en talla chica.

Weste sieht gut aus, fühlt sich hochwertig an.Sie hält toll warm und hat mich in der jetzigen Herbstzeit auch gut trocken gehalten bei öfteren Märschen duch Nieselregen.Sie ist tatsächlich sehr groß geschnitten, hab jetzt schon eine Nummer kleiner genommen und auch da ist noch gut Luft, vlt ist das auch einfach der Style der Weste, wer weiß. Hab sie in L.Einziger Minuspunkt, dad Material des Innenfutters ist beim Tragen einer Umhängetasche am Hals etwas unangenehm und rau, aber durchaus auszuhalten.

I'm short, but broad shouldered - Amazon recommended an XL as a good fit...Looking at the other reviews, I ordered an M just in case.It's a great hoodie, and I'm keeping it, but the M has so much room left I should probably have gone with a size S...!
