MicroSport Trailer Retractable Tongue Kit

Works EXACTLY as described, and shortens the trailer by a good amount for easy storage. The instructions were simple to follow and the modifications to the trailer wiring harness were minimal and easy to do.

Great kit for making the trailer more compact. I bought my Microsport (non-XT) trailer used and this was a great upgrade. Combined it with the Trailer Tongue Kick Stand for a very usable setup.

Overall product is really neat and when trailer tongue is slid in, trailer is extremely compact. Easy to install, provided all the parts arrive in the box, which mine did not. Package was missing the clip nut and u-shaped spacers. Assembly instructions could have been a little clearer, as well. If all the parts would have been shipped I would have rated 4 stars. *UPDATE* Have used for several years now and can say that this device is a trailer storage lifesaver. I use the trailer as a kayak rack when not in use and without the sliding tongue I would be hard pressed for space in the garage. So far the only negative is the amount of wear/wallowing out of the pin hole due to excessive slack while trailering. Will have to modify down the road.

If you own a Malone trailer do yourself a favor and buy this. You retract the tongue and stand the trailer on end against a wall in your garage and regain all that space!

Bought this to go along with the Malone MicroSport trailer we purchased. Installed flawlessly but the instructions left a little bit to be desired. The instructions needed to be augmented with the steps as if it was being installed while the trailer was being assembled. The instructions were written as if the trailer was already assembled.

Easy to install, love the option to retract and stand up vertically in the garage. Wish the pinning in the retracted position was a little more thought out. Otherwise this was the option that sold me on buying this trailer. Malone customer service was really friendly and knew their stuff, thanks Malone.

Easy enough to install and saves so much storage space in the garage. Highly recommended.

After assembling the trailer and the Retractable Tongue Kit, I discovered the various wiring harnesses don't fit together. After being told by Malone to 'cut away part of the plug to make it fit', that solution did not work. At this point, I have a trailer with no lights that can't be licensed. You would think that someone at Malone trailers would ensure their various components actually work together before they ship them and then tell the customer to make repairs themselves to make it work.
