Venus Optics Laowa 17mm f/4 GFX Zero-D Lens for FUJIFILM GFX

This lens was a total surprise to me with how good it performs. This lens is extremely sharp in the middle from wide open to f/16. In the corners, it is a little soft at f/4 but definitely not bad. It is great even in the corners by f/5.6. As usual, you start to get diffraction at f/16 but this lens still produces very nice shots at that stop and in addition, you get a really nice starburst although with the lens being so wide open, it is quite small. The lens is constructed nicely and nothing on it is loose. Of course, with how wide open it is, one needs to be sure to use a thin filter on this lens or else you can see it in the corners. In comparison to the 23mm lens made by Fuji, you get a much wider view with optics that are very close to that of Fuji and for much cheaper. I was very hesitant in getting this lens as I have rarely found 3rd party lenses to be even close to the quality of the Fuji lenses, but with this one, I was extremely pleased that I got it.
