I just got this product, so I'm unable to comment on its efficacy. However, I'm pretty upset by how misleading their advertising is.The reason I selected this particular mat is because the picture shows it as a giant square, and the headline says the size is "72.5”72.5”".I thought that the seller simply forgot to write the "x" in between the two numbers, since so many sellers on Amazon are non-native English speakers. When I unfolded the item and saw that it was a rectangle instead of a large square, I came back to my computer and noted that further down the mat is described as 72.5"x44", and not the 72.5"x72.5" I read in the headline. So, while I was right about there being a typo in the title, I was wrong about what the typo was.Not only that, but the picture is COMLETELY misleading. It's pictured as a square that's large enough for a Great Dane, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, a stocky pit bull (sidenote: damn the people who cut that poor creature's ears), and a bunch of other animals to fit on it with plenty of space left around themI'm super disappointed. SUPER, SUPER disappointed. I feel incredibly misled. I was hoping to save on disposable wee-wee pads, but this isn't big enough to cover the area I needed to cover, so I'm still going to have to use them.

I have 3 dogs 2 are older and have bladder issues , this pad is the best I've ever bought . Don't hesitate to buy this it's WORTH EVERY DOLLAR ! washes easily and never leaks through , put it on low in the dryer for 30 min or let it air dry . Also, great feature is that it stays in place with nice non skid backing. My dogs love it !

Where do I begin? I bought one in each size. Totally fit in the spaces I needed them to fit in ... very happy with the sizes. My seven-year-old Morkie pees a little bit here and there while I’m at work.... no problem with absorbency. After two days, I walk into my house and instantly smell dog piss. UGH!!!!! I walk in from my garage - ground floor - these “carpet-rugs” are located upstairs. FML. I have to wash these things literally every other day. They do well in the washing machine and the dryer, (dry for only a little while, then air-dry.) However, I don’t have the time or energy to wash these things every other day. If you plan on having company over.. EVER, at all, stick with the disposable pee-pads.

This blanket has helped with potty training tremendously. I keep my puppy in an x-pen when I can't watch her and it has caught any accidents very quickly. It has saved my carpet! While, we have been very proactive with potty training and she has only had a couple of accidents since I got her, I also use it to put her water bowl on (which she spills often) and it absorbs that too! It takes a few seconds to soak in and then leaves a water mark to let me know where is is so I can clean it. It has gone through the wash with no problems and I've been able to put it in the dryer on low. It comes out looking brand new! My puppy also likes to pretend she is digging to China and this blanket holds up very well. No scratch marks or holes!I am very happy with my purchase and I definitely recommend this blanket to anyone with a puppy, whelping dog, or you could even get a smaller one to put under a litter box for those who have cats that tend to miss the litter box.

I’ve had 2 of these mats for several weeks now. I’m amazed by how great they are! I have 3 dogs. One has urinary tract issues and sometimes has to potty in the house. She can’t help it. The other is just a little bratty brat who doesn’t want to wait to go outside. As you can imagine, this was not good for the carpets in my apartment. These mats absorb not only the liquid, but also the smell. Dog pee can get pretty smelly! The liquid gets trapped in the mat and doesn’t leak through to the carpet below. If you’re thinking of getting one or two, just do it. You’ll be happy with them. I should have had these years ago!

*Very slow to absorb fluids.*Backing is not waterproof. Barely water resistantMy floor has a very slight slope/dip. It’s not a drastic slope just a very slight dip. The pee pad is better described as having a repellent surface. So there was doggie backsplash for male and females. It will bead and pool at first. Only started to absorb after my dog finished and walked through the puddle of urine. More than 1/2 of what he peed slid 2-3 feet and onto the floor before it even had time to start absorbing. I then put disposable pee pads around the edge to catch any pee that rolled off and under it to check the backing. Even if I didn’t have the issue of floors not being 100% level I would still rate this at 1 star because my dog had to walk through a puddle of urine once he finished because it took so long to absorb. I went back 20 min later and checked the urine had already soaked through to the pee pad below it. About as useful as using a cotton bed sheet as a pee pad. It takes to long to absorb and once it does it soaks through time the floor below. Negates the whole reason for buying it when you have to put disposable pee pads under it and around it. The entire reason for a pee pad is to collect urine and psrotect the floors. It did neither even after washing it and letting it air dry. I was so very excited about such an easy to clean reusable pee pad but So very disappointed it did not even perform the one job it was supposed to do.

We have a dog who is in liver failure, which means there are times where he can't hold his pee. We put this under his kennel and it has been a lifesaver! When he just pees a bit, we can use a urine destroyer spray and a paper towel, but when he outright pees on it, we just throw it one the wash and it's as good as new! No smell whatsoever and no soak through, protecting our wood floors.

I wanted to give a short review regarding size. I will update, durability and absorption in a few days. This is a perfect size and soft. We have king size bed and a sweet old lady pitbull lab, it has been hard to find good coverage especially if she moves around. This is perfect. I am going to attach photo fyi my dog is a large 90lb dog just to give you a better idea. Picture does not show that well. Good luck, and I will update again.
