OK... yeah, that's about it
After hearing a lot about the slew of awards that the music on this CD had won, I was expecting wonders. What I got was... okay... a CD that is fun to listen to once, but not something I would pop into my home or car player again and again.

another rahman...
I have been a Raham's fan since the early 90'and I followed his creativity ever since. And any time it's a musical challenge.Delhi-6 is another fine blend of indian classic + western funk. One of those records that need several listening to appreciate it. So , if you like Rahman , buy it without thinking twice. But if you are already a fan , you don't need this advice...

Delhi 6 - CD
Enjoyed the music very much. However the CD itself seems to be a pirated copy/CD. I wish Amazon would moniter their vendors more closely and that this would not happen.

Fantastic, innovative score
This album of Delhi-6 songs is fantastic and Rahman is at his best. Masakali is a masterpiece with light playfulness evident in the composition. Arziyan is a qawwali which will transport you to a mosque like atmosphere. Dil Gira Dafatan and Rehna Tu are soulful pieces which are very well rendered. Genda Phool is a beautiful but very unusual folk tune with modern undertones. Delhi-6 and Kaala Bandar are alright but not exceptional. All in all a great album.
