I wrote an extremely long review that got deleted before I could post it but to sum it up the brush looks exactly as pictured and works amazing when used correctly. You HAVE to start detangling VERTICALLY at your ends and work your way up then follow up horizontally. This is a must especially if you have extremely thick and curly hair like I do. I got those instructions from another post with the original brush and they really do make a difference. You will love seeing and feeling the brush flex through your hair. This is the first wash day in a long time that I did not have to separate my usual 4 detangling sections into smaller ones to reduce breakage. There was way less shedding and breakage than normal which shocked me and I am very pleased to say detangling took less than HALF my normal time. To give you a picture, I have EXTREMELY thick and tightly curled 4b/4c/3c hair that generally takes well over 1 hr-1.5hrs to detangle not including styling. I used one brush with the attachment at the top for fear of ripping my hair out without it. I will try the other brush with the attachment at the middle of the brush and see if there is a difference. Over all I am very pleased with the purchase and will be referring other people to buy these brushes.For some reason I cannot upload pictures or videos right now but I will check back later.

From reading the reviews, I was expecting to have my socks knocked off by this product. I'm underwhelmed. I've been natural for over 20 years, I can't really tell you what my exact hair type is, but its somewhere between 3C and 4C except it is not that dense, and is really soft, and has a hard time keeping a curl shape on its own. I have pretty good hair routine down. I actually haven't used a proper brush in over a decade, as I find anything aside from my fingers to be inadequate at de-tangling. But, I figured what they hell. I can't say I regret my purchase, but if I could do it over I wouldn't. Here are some pros and cons from my perspective.Pros:- Using the brush with conditioner/product on the hair does gives you good definition, better than with finger de-tangling for sure.-Easy to clean. When you use your hands your hair gets stuck in your fingers and by using the brush you avoid that annoyance.Cons:-Slippery AF. I feel like who ever produces this should do some more R&D on materials. When you hand is covered in conditioner and you use this brush, I basically cannot hold it without it slipping out of your hand. Instead I have to hold the brush close to the bristles which basically means the bristles can't move freely defeating the whole purpose of the brush. I feel like some silicone grips for just the handle, or just producing the the whole brush aside from the bristles in a different, less slippery material would go a long way.- Does not make de-tangling for me any faster. As I said I've been at the natural game for some time, so I am really fast with the finger de-tangle. This slowed things down considerably, especially given the slippery nature of the handle.Hope this helps. If you are new to the natural world this product may help by making you feel like at least people are making things with us in mind. But honestly I would not leave the finger de-tangle for this brush.

This product is advertised as 2 detangling brushes but its really 1 & a half. There are these strips you need to connect to the back of the brush to keep the bristle rows separated, you need 2 to use the brush properly (you can see the holes where they are supposed to go). You only get 2 of those strips when really you would need 4 to properly use both brushes! I ordered this thinking I would use one and my niece would use the other, now because I had to give the other strip to her I cannot use the '2nd' brush. It should be advertised as one brush with a replacement brush head NOT 2 BRUSHES!

My daughter and I have SUPER curly hair. She’s 10 and learning to take care of it herself. She often doesn’t get conditioner worked all the way through, resulting in a tangled mess. I ordered this 2 pack so she’d have one brush in the shower (to brush the conditioner through) and one for when she got out so I could make sure she got all the tangles out. We used it last night and it worked PERFECT! I love he fact that it’s plastic so I can clean it easily and that it’s curved. Highly recommend!!!

I wear Senegalese twist, have 4C hair and dread taking them out because my hair is often unmanageable. This brush is AMAZING! I had very little breakage and it only took 1/4 the time to de-tangle. This will be stocking stuffers for my tender headed nieces :-).

Update 5/12/20: I do wish the handle was longer.Ok, so I went into buying this hairbrush like...hmm, I doubt it'll do all everyone says, but for the price, I will try it. You guys! I have used every brush known to womankind and NOTHING, I mean, NOTHING compares to this brush. I have a 1 year old and the first thing to go out the window was combing through my 3b-3c hair. My routine is to comb out my hair in the shower with conditioner in it. My hair reaches to just above the small of my back, when stretched out. Sooooo, the process of combing out my hair with a paddle brush sometimes took 15-20 minutes, literally. Well, ain't nobody got time for that, so I just put my hair in a bun EVERY DAY...boring! Well, let me tell you, I have used this brush in the shower TWO DAYS IN A ROW and the total time spent on my hair is maybe 7 minutes combined! And so much less hair breakage! Thank you to whomever invented this brush. It does take some trial and error as to how to use the brush, but you will figure it out quickly. Do yourself and your daughter and your friends a favor, and just buy the brushes already!
