This is my first memory foam pillow. It took a couple of nights to get used to, but now I understand why memory foam pillows are so popular. I am a stomach sleeper and I have trouble with neck pain after a night of sleep. This pillow has helped my neck pain go away. The memory foam supports my neck when I am sleeping. The pillows cooling does not last the whole night, but it does help me fall asleep. And the side with cooling is a little firmer. If I want it softer I just flip it over. And the price on this pillow was so reasonable. I have seen the same pillows for three times as much. I haven’t wanted to get out of bed since I got this pillow.

The only reason I’m giving this five stars is because the pillow really does wonders when sleeping at night! HOWEVER, this third party vendor and shipping company lost my package. Placed the order on June 11 with original arrival date of June 18, then pushed back to June 24. It is June 27 and never received the pillow from the third party vendor. I ended up buying the pillow from Belk at a much better price point.

I have a very similarly constructed pillow already that’s around 4 years old i.e. memory foam with cooling gel top (a Therapedic brand from BBB) and wanted a second similar pillow but one that’s a little firmer and with increased loft for side sleeping. I find that most pillows compress too much when on my side and my neck is not raised sufficiently to keep my spine in alignment.Unfortunately the same is true of this pillow. A lot of reviewers commented on how firm this pillow is, but in my experience firm isn’t quite the right word. It’s chunky and based on a quick test pushing down with your hand you expect it should be quite supportive. I only found that to be true when lying on my back however. In that position, it cradled my neck effectively and my spine felt better aligned as compared with my existing pillow. On my side however, there was no improvement. My neck remained bent towards the bed and my shoulder in turn fell towards my head. I wouldn’t say it’s firm per se, as firm implies to me that it will push back and create a counterbalance to the weight of your head which is good or bad depending on the individual need. In my case, I wanted more of that so that I would hopefully end up in the right alignment. However, it doesn’t really do that. It may offer a little resistance but that only slows a full compression, it doesn’t counter it.As for the cooling, it’s categorically inferior to my existing pillow. There is one cooling gel side. The “duo” aspect appears to refer to the properties of the foam itself. There is no special cooling surface on the underside. That said, the foam side seems to do a better job of avoiding excessive heat buildup during the night. So perhaps there is something to that claim. The cooling gel side is just counterproductive. Whilst it may initially feel cool, the surface gets increasingly warmer as the night goes on. I think this is due to the plastic “shell” that the gel is encased in. Each night I slept on the gel side, I would awaken due to the heat under my head. That didn’t happen when I laid on the regular foam side. So it seems to be a choice between a side that gives you an initial “hit” of cold that turns to heat as the night wears on, or one that you don’t initially perceive as being especially cooling but does a better job of preventing heat building up later on. I suppose the foam side breathes and the gel side does not. Clearly this is not a problem with all gel pillows. I guess it has to be down to how they’ve constructed the “shell” that contains the gel.Lastly, the quality control leaves somewhat to be desired. It looks like a knock-off in some respects. Firstly the gel layer is askew and not centered properly on the pillow. It’s off to one side and at a slight angle to the pillow. The foam side has several craters in it. That’s not uncommon for foam pillows, but you’d hope it would be minimal with well established brand names.

This pillow is good for back/side sleepers. Personally I like a bit firmer pillow - but have been using and am sleeping better. Would give it 5 stars if it were a bit firmer - but the memory foam does restore to full shape when moved/or getting off the pillow.

Very comfortable, I love foam / cooling gel combo pillows. Side sleeper here needing height and firmness in a pillow. My old pillow was starting to cause me neck and shoulder discomfort. I searched and read comments on numerous pillows, this one is a winner. It’s pricey but a good night sleep is priceless! Highly recommend!

My new favorite pillow. I’m picky about pillows and have been searching for a memory foam pillow like this for a while and they were usually too firm. Love this one. Give it a few days to get used to it. The cooling feature is great and I don’t wake up sweating. The perfect level of soft but also firm. I’m usually a side sleeper but found this one more comfy to sleep on my back.

I had high hopes for this pillow as I love Sealy but I returned it the next day after getting it. This pillow is a good height for side sleepers but it's like sleeping on a concrete pillow. I've also never had a memory foam pillow make my head so hot. I then turned it to the "cooling" side. It is cool to begin with, but then turns just as hot as the other side. So now both sides of my pillow are hot. I also found that I had trouble breathing after a while because my sinuses suddenly clogged up. I also have never had sinus issues so this was a first for me. I was very disappointed with this pillow especially with how much it cost.

I am not much to write reviews, but this deserves one. I have tried so many cooling pillows, they were either uncomfortable or cooled for a couple seconds then I had to flip them. Needless to say, I wouldn't get a good nights sleep. I hesitated on this, but had to do something cause I am such a hot sleeper and have hot flashes. This was so comfortable, and it stayed cool. I think it even got cooler the longer I had my head on it. I did buy a bamboo pillow case for it, but I think it would have been just effective without it. Highly recommended!!!
