Thai Kitchen, Thai Ktchn Red Curry Paste, 4 Ounce

I made Thai red curry with this paste. The flavor is good but this isn’t really that spicy so if you’re looking for more heat you’ll need to add some chilis. It’s a good size to try out and see if you like the flavor.

Very weak flavor and little spice. If you want something that tastes more like what you get in a restaurant, get Mae Ploy paste. This is better for the sorts of people that can detect spice in mayo.

I've bought this stuff for years. It's good. You get a lot less than the containers you can find at Asian markets, but you can find this pretty much everywhere and it's delicious. I add some lemongrass, brown sugar and chili sometimes and it's sooo good. It's not very spicy on its own. The thicker the coconut milk you use the better, but it's all delicious.

It tastes ok, I mean it is flavorful without being too salty. It has a little heat without being thermo nuclear hot. My main disappointment was the tiny size of the jar. Probably my fault for not looking at the listing closely enough. It popped up as a substitution for another product and I just hit "okay" without checking it out thoroughly. I would buy it again if there is a larger size that has a volume discount. But no, I probably wouldn't buy this again as is.

The Thai Curry Paste arrived in a plastic bag with some of the paste outside the jar and in the bag. When I opened the bag the lid to the jar was not on tight. When I tried to tighten it, the lid just spun on the jar so it would not seal. Since it was not sealed and it is not eligible for return I will have to throw it away. Wasted my money!

When I received this curry paste, the jar was broken inside the bubble wrap. The paste was everywhere, and had leaked inside the bubble wrap. No returns????

I like the small size. I use this for curry, but appreciate the size because I dont use that much.
