This reel replaced a previous Ardent Flipping reel, I was a little cautious about ordering this one simply because I was worried it would not live up to the previous model when it comes to performance. I can report that this reel definitely held up and exceeded my expectations. The flipping reel is much different than your conventional bait casting reel, it has a narrow spool, no spool tracking, and requires small amounts of line, these items are all due to the design, it is a flipping reel that does not need to be loaded with line, it does not need spool tracking because it is not a casting reel, this reel is designed perfectly for flipping and pitching short distances with quick retrieves. Ardents' design of this reel is spot on, it is a precision reel for a specific technique. I would recommend this reel to any avid or learning flipper, it is a simple but effective reel. The feel, weight, and profile are perfect. Add in Ardents amazing warranty and this is a no brainer for folks who love to flip the brush and laydowns.

My go to reel has been the Ardent Grand so much so I have 3 of them @ $230.00 each. So when I saw the ArrowII for $50. Thought how bad could it be and if it was really bad I send it back. WELL to my absolute delight this thing turned out to be Amazing. Even though it is a bit heavier and has a few less ball bearings and does not have the same star drag wheel and 1 breaking system (magnetic only) it believe it or not out casts Ardent Grand. It does have so wiednous though. It makes a high pitch whine on the cast. Regardless this is one of the best working reels I have had in a long time and none the best for the ($50) money. This is a home run. Now we will see how well it will hold up, but with it's 3 Year warranty how can you possibly go wrong. You won't be disappointed.

This is the perfect reel for a bass fishing flipping setup. Tested this out with Ardents strong braid and it casts easily and didn’t have a birds nest to speak of. This will save you money on line with the smaller spool (you won’t need all the extra line for casting 5-10 feet). This is hard to beat for the price and is easy to adjust.

What a great reel for the cost, by far a better reel than the value, I've had reels with less quality and paid more for it, plus a 3 year warranty, smooth and casts very well.

Excellent for flipping with pin point Accuracy and low profile looks great. I’ve also used mine for punching thick cover , with the 7.0;1 retrieve with the powerful drag system it makes bouncing big girls in the boat easy!! Highly Recommend This Reel!

Extremely unique design for flipping and punching weeds and pads. Very easy to use, and it's clearly well-made. Maybe not the lightest reel in my arsenal, but built like a tank, and when you consider Ardent offers a 3-year warranty, I'm not sure how you can go wrong.

Have not used fishing yet, but have pitched in the yard . Very smooth ,is a solid reel . For the the price you pay I do not think you can beat this deal. Made in USA not many if any still made here.Give it a try,think you will like if you pitch. 3 year warranty

I got my Ardent Arrow Flippin reel. This is a great reel for the price. You can’t go wrong with this one and it only weighs 7.5oz. I highly recommend it.
