Rainbow Candy Coated Chips for Baking, Cookies & Desserts, 1 lb

I absolutely /loved/ Cosmic Brownies as a kid, they were the treat I always went straight for and those little candy coated chocolate chips were the peak of deliciousness. Well, now I'm regularly trying to learn how to make copycat treats that are made with better ingredients and taste better, and these were some of the first things that sprung to mind. And they have turned out lovely, fudgy and delicious. They were the first thing that ran out on the Christmas treat platters, everybody loved them! The flavor is great for a decoration candy like this, and the price per pound + shipping on these is great for frequent / gift bakers. I've repurchased these twice over the past year and now my niece who also LOVES Cosmic Brownies is having me make them for her wedding! So cool :)

I was worried about the chocolate chips surviving in the summer heat - Chips arrived in 4 days with 2 ice packs which were liquid but still cool. Very happy with this purchase. Chips were exactly as described with vibrant colors.

I love these little colored chips. I use them on cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and trifles. The secret it is don't top your baked goods until ready to serve. The colors do run.

I thought these would be regular size chips but they are mini. Still works for the cosmic brownie cheesecake I have planned but I wish they were bigger. Colors are vibrant but, like many other commenters said, they are chipped and misshapen. Texture is wonderful and they do taste good though! Package came faster than estimated delivery and had little ice packs in, which I appreciate because it is always hot in the south. Overall would recommend

Bought these with the intent to make “fancy” chocolate chip cookies for the young’ens. Ended up eating most of them atop vanilla ice cream! The best laid plans…..

Like many others I bought these to add to a cosmic brownie recipe. These were the ones recommended by the site I am following for the recipe. I looked at a few other options and these by far had the best ratings. So I was excited when they arrived today. First there was a cost for shipping with the vendor which I was willing to pay. They arrived quickly and were packed well with small ice packs and insulating material. Great since the weather is getting warmer. The package was cool to touch. However when I looked closely at the package there is a lot of small chipping of the candy coating. That is disappointing but I though I can work with that. It happens. But I opened the package and while the colors are bright and a lot of the chipped coating can be brushed off so many of these chips are pocked and slightly misshaped. I am still going to use them because it's what I bought and the colors are the closest to what I want. Also they taste fresh and like the chips on the brownies. I just wish presentation wise they were better.
