Sleeping Beauty (Original Text with Classic Illustrations)

I enjoyed the story despite it being more sinister than Disney's version. I was curious about the original story and stumbled upon it. I wouldn't recommend it for kids though.

Seems to be a verbatim translation of the original. I read it with my 11 yesr old granddaughter as a follow-up to the movie Maleificent, and she loved it. I'm now trying to pre order the dvd of the movie and am surprised that I can't do that through Amazon. I have been able to pre order any Disney movies until this one. What's going on?

The end was my favorite part. Has a great turn of events making it a completely different love story. I loved that!

The original text is interesting, but more mature than the Disney film. It is very different, therefore, this book is best for adults, teenagers, and older children.

Too short...not what I expected. Where is the dragons and maleficent. This is not the story I was told as a child

Very different ending than the Disney version we all grew up with. And no "true love's kiss" in the original. Just his presence awakens her.

I don’t know if I missed something, but this book looks like it came from a scholastic book order. Definitely not worth $10. I’m very disappointed.

overpriced and ridiculous postage costs for what is basically a pamphlet
