Golds White Horseradish, 6 Oz

I made a beef shoulder roast in my instant pot recently and the recipe called for prepared Horseradish. My husband is medically Gluten Free so I found this brand that is GF. It was fresh, smelled great and tasted great. The flavor wasn’t too over powering. It made the roast tender and added great flavor. The only thing I dislike is they used a glass bottle and made the opening too small. I don’t mind it being glass but they should have used a jar with a wider round opening. The horseradish is thick so it’s hard to get out and the opening is too small for a regular spoon to fit inside to scoop it out. Its like the old glass ketchup bottles where you have to bang the crap out of them to get the ketchup out. Thankfully I do have a long thin ice cream Sunday spoon that fits inside the bottle. If you don’t have a spoon that fits you can use a butter knife to scrape it out.

This horseradish is great on sandwiches and corned beef. The only kind we buy, not "sauce" just plain horseradish

I love this horseradish! Compared to others, Gold’s has a sweeter, less harsh flavor. I mix it with sour cream or plain yogurt to make a condiment for salmon or add it to mayo to used on sandwiches. Highly recommend.

It's the best I could find with all natural ingredients. The flavor is good. I remember decades ago when all natural ingredients for horseradish was common. There was something stronger and full bodied then. But the way our food supply is these days I'm happy to be eating horseradish that tastes good and doesn't have chemicals in it.

I like that this is pure horseradish and no additional ingredients are used.

Lowest in sodium, best horseradish ever! I use it for my homemade cocktail sauce. Flavorful and you can't go wrong. I don't understand the low reviews other than it's hard to get and maybe people want less people buying it. I'm always checking Amazon to see when it's available at a decent price as it comes and goes in the Amazon Fresh section and other sellers are price gouging. I hope some day it'll be an everyday stocked item on Amazon so we don't have to get from a third-party source.

Good stuff

Expected a fresher taste and aroma. This one is far too mild for our tastes, even after doubling or tripling the quantity normally used. Lots of better horseradish on the market. This one sounded good, but was chalky textured, and had very little aroma or taste. Not terrible. Just mediocre and disappointing. Not recommended.

Part of a 3 part order with Gefilte Fish and matza. I had all of it sent across country to a relative in a care home. She is pleased with all three deliveries
