Definitely not as luxurious or long as in the photos, but definitely suitable for the price. It shed like crazy, though! I was dropping feathers everywhere I went! Despite the shedding, it still looked full and beautiful.Another con: When it arrived, it had extra rope on each end that I had to knot and cut off with scissors. It was as if this was made to a certain specification in a factory and the line worker just called it a day after gluing the feathers on. The rope was cheap braided thread and a good two inches was showing on each side. It was annoying that I had to fix this boa up after receiving it (in my opinion, products should come ready to wear), but after that small fix this boa performed wonderfully. I would still repurchase due to the great price.Tip: Give this thing a good two or three-over with hairspray to keep the feathers in place

This was beautiful and soft looked great and i loved it, I used it all the time! That being said it also shed all the time, if I used it just messing about in my bedroom for example I would have feathers and little fuzzes all over the room!If you used it for going out it might not have been so noticeable but in a room its pretty noticeable and annoying. After a while of use it also starts looking worn and dirty but I don't think you can wash them.. When mine got to that point i had to just throw it away because it had gotten to the point where it shed half of its fluff away.It was great while it lasted though (6 months to a year of usage i would say)

Bought for the bride at a bachelorette party. When I opened and fluffed it in the hotel room before the party, so many feathers fell out that I worried housekeeping might have thought we'd sacrificed a chicken. After the initial moulting, it was decent and fluffy enough. I ordered white because I was worried about colors bleeding as other reviewers said, and the last thing I wanted was to dye the bride to be a few days before the wedding, no one needs that kind of stress!But for the price this is great for a boa you'll just use a few times. Just take it out of the package and shake it out outside, if possible!

It worked okay for a show that I was in....BUT, omgosh, the feather's were EVERYWHERE. Every time I use it more feathers come out. I found them in my house for weeks, outside my house, in my car, in my bag, had to sweep them up after my act. That's a little much. BUT, I guess it is pretty cheap and there were plenty of feathers still left.. so, for a cheap costume it is good. But, if you use it on a regular basis or don't want "flying feathers" I would spend money for a real one.

I didn’t buy this to wear. I bought it for party decor and now it’s a part of my bedroom decor. The feathers fall off often so there’s no way I could wear this without leaving a trail. It’s fragile so it’s great for just decor. I like them! One down side, it’s not as big as the boas in the photos.

I'm surprised to see any low ratings on here at all. I am a big costume person and dress up for various events all of the time and so have had plenty of feather boas over the years. This boa is really think and fluffy and luxurious compared to most of your run of the mill boas like those you get at Joann's etc. The only boa I have had that is thicker and nicer than this one was a showgirl quality used boa I bought for $60 on Ebay. It does shed slightly more than the average boa but probably because it has 2-3 times the fluff in the first place and all boas leave a little feather fluff around so if you don't want that then boas should not be part of your costume.

Ok I now see what everyone was talking about. I took the boa out of the package and it was black rain falling on my white bed spread. It does shed!!!!!! FYI to buyers when I saw this it was $6.80 when I actually purchased it was almost double that price. Its not a big as it appears but it should work for what I need it for.

It is full, beautiful and true to color. No chemical smell what so ever. I'm a plus size and it wrapped me all the way around. It'll do the trick for a 4 hr event. The only reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the excessive shedding. From the time I got it out of the bag it started to shed
