Marvelous Product--Ingenious, Useful, Smart
I have been a barbell, dumbbell, squat rack, and crossover rack user for many more than 30 years, and never did I think "rubber" tubes and bands could replace such iron and pulleys--boy, was I wrong. I am a convert! Here's why.I bought at Amazon the $29.99, 12-piece set of Bodylastics Resistance Bands [but they are actually tubes, not bands, and that's good] which included:--5 resistance tubes, with each end having an attached carabiner clip;--2 well-constructed handles with a 1 to 1 1/2 inch steel ring attached to the handle by a webbed band;--2 very nicely built ankle straps;--1 over the door web strap;--an excellent 77-page booklet demonstrating 33 resistance tube exercises with written descriptions and photos; and--a handy carrying bag that held all the equipment.Any exercise tube I've used in the past came with an attached handle. But tubes with carabiner clips are much superior. Why? Because the large ring at end of handle's web strap easily accommodates the carabiner hook of not just 1 tube at a time, but the carabiner hooks of as many as 2 or 3 tubes when necessary. The ability to adjust the tube tension by adding 1 or 2 more tubes to one handle actually makes adjusting the tension easier and more precise than adjusting weight on a barbell, crossover machine or typical weight machine that's restricted to 5 lb. or 10 lb. adjustments. The tubes with carabiner hooks at each end are terrific, but perhaps even more terrific is the Bodylastic "Band Barrier" I bought with this resistance tube kit. What's a Band Barrier? Think for a moment of the velcro wraps commonly seen on a gym or duffel bag; that velcro strap that is attached to one bag handle and wraps around the the other bag handle to keep the two handles together when carrying the bag. The Band Barrier "wraps" the tubes via the same design. The Band Barrier is about 12 to 14" long and 6" or so wide. You open it by separating the velcro clasp that goes the length of the wrap; lay 1, 2 or even 5 or 6 tubes into the middle of the wrap, and then roll the wrap up to reattach the velcro clasp. Your resistance tubes are now encircled or wrapped in a 12' long thickly padded case and a foot or two of each resistance tube hangs out the end [like a foot-long hot dog in a six-inch bun]. You can pick up the Band Barrier and all the tubes it contains and hang it around any anchor [even with square corners] or lay it on concrete floors and stand on--and your resistance tubes will not be scratched, dented or sliced.More importantly, I think, is that you can now carry that wrapped set of tubes anywhere and hook the entire bundle [Band Barrier with the wrapped tubes sticking out each end]--to a high, low, in-between anchor point--and easily select from each end the tube or tubes you need for a given exercise and in a second clip the carabiner ends of those tubes to the steel circles on the end of your handles. Ingenious really. Not only that, you can put the Band Barrier and its wrapped tubes on the ground and stand on it to do curls, upright rows, squats, etc.--and not do any scraping or scratching of the tubes.Think about this a second. Your Band Barrier wrap is hanging around a hook or post slightly above your head and you have just completed a 1-arm fly using, let's say, a green tube. Now you need to do 2-arm lat push-down with the black and red tubes together. Well, hanging around your hook are all your tubes. You just take one handle and connect it to one end of your black and red tubes and the other handle to the other end of those black and red tubes--and you are all set to do your exercise. The Band Barrier not only protects your tubes, but I think even more importantly, it streamlines your workout so that you have access to all your tubes at any time. Further, in one swoop, I can move the combined Band Barrier wrapping all 5 or 6 of my tubes from a low anchor point to a waist-level anchor point to a high anchor point. And I can put the whole shebang on the floor, stand on it, and do upward motion exercises [e.g., curls, squats, rises, upright rows] with no damage to the tubes.I am absolutely delighted with this purchase. In fact, because I tend towards lazy, I actually bought a second set of tubes and a second Band Barrier so that I could hang one set high and a second set low, and move from upper body work to lower body work. One of the best purchases I have ever made at Amazon.

Durable quality.
Strongly constructed and works well to protect cables.

Sleeve works great
I use this sleeve for two things. First, to protect my bands from wear due to my feet or surface on which I am using them. Secondly, I use this sleeve to protect my bands when I place them around a tree or post. I have also used them on the leg of a heavy piece of furniture to anchor lighter weight bands during workouts.I put more than one strength of bands in the sleeve and can swap out the weights depending upon which part of my body I am exercising. So far, the sleeve is meeting my expectations.

It Works--And Is Better Than Using Nothing At All
Like my headline says . . . it works, and is better than using nothing at all. Actually, a thick towel would work almost as well, although a towel probably would not hold-up/last as long as this item--hence the four star review. Still, I do recommend it.

Does the Job!
I wanted this so I could have a more vertical resistance alignment from the bands for arm curls and overhead arm extensions. Standing directly on the resistance bands without damaging them was the key, and this sleeve allows just that. It opens for easy placement, and the Velcro closure is so strong that I leave it on full time out of convenience. (The Velcro really grips!) I slid the door anchor strap half way along this , and let it it hang out through this sleeve, and just pressed the Velcro shut around it on either side.. It doesn't interfere, and it makes it easy to switch between anchoring under my feet or in the doorway with minimal fuss. It's durable fabric that should last, and it's flexible enough so the bands and handles all still bundle up into a small package for travel. I'd buy it again.

Protection for your resistance Bands!
I like this sleeve. I do a lot of resistance bands squats and also curls. this means I have to step on my bands quite a bit. The bands are great quality but I fear I will ruin them after a while from my sneakers gripping too much.In comes this sleeve!PROS:- strong stitching- high quality fabric- super strong velcroCONS:- None that I can see. Maybe the velcro is a little too strong. That's it.

Well made but not all that practical to use
First I will say that I have used Bodylastics resistance bands for years and think they are probably the best. Their stuff is quality. I figured I would try this band barrier thinking it might make some band exercises where I am standing on the band feel smoother which I think it does actually. The down side is standing on the barrier itself, which feels awkward to me. The other thing is opening up and re-velcroing the barrier around different bands during a workout is just not going to happen. I instead slide one band out and then thread a different one in. The barrier would probably work for its intended purpose which is to protect and lengthen the life of the bands.Other than this product their resistance bands, handles, attachments and different anchors, I highly recommend.

Great protection for floor and back (press) work with heavy bands
Excellent idea and product. These protect your bands from floor dirt and sweat if you’re using a bar and wrapping the bands around your back for presses and skull crushers. I can’t say enough good things about the product. Well done and I’ll be ordering another to have a pair!
