Amazing Post-Cesarean Cream
I started using this cream about 3 weeks ago, when I was about 2.5 months postpartum. It had taken a long time for my incision to fully close up initially, partly because I had some stitching poking out (yikes) and partly because this incision was a lot wider and bled more post-surgery than I experienced with my first C-section. I follow Motherlove on Instagram as I am a fan of some of their other products and as soon as I saw that they had released a C-section cream I knew I had to try it. Now I'm not the best at remembering to put it on multiple times a day as the directions suggest, but I have been putting it on every night before I go to bed, massaging along my incision as I do so. At the very least, whether this product works for you and your skin or not, it will help you remember to massage your incision! I've heard several times now after having my second child via Cesarean that I should massage along my incision line in small, circular motions to help reduce scar tissue and promote fluid skin movement. I was NEVER told this the first time I delivered via C-section, and that scar felt STUCK in place, as if it was glued to my insides. I am only 3 months postpartum now and between using this cream and doing the massages, it has made a HUGE difference! Full disclaimer: the first day I used the cream, it made the scar area more sensitive, but I suspect that was just because my skin was being "woken up" in a way. The sensitivity was gone by the next day, and rapid improvement followed. I can't believe how great my scar looks now, even though this incision was a lot wider and scarier looking than my first. I really like the smell, it spreads evenly, absorbs well, and makes massaging the area smooth and easy. My scar has gone from red/purple, itchy and irritated to white in some areas, pink in others, and not irritated at all. I showed my mom who also delivered via c-section a couple times and she was amazed at how good it looked! I will say, however, I'm not one to overhype anyone about a certain product, and when it comes to skin there's a crazy variance in what works for some and not others, but with good, clean ingredients and being great for massaging along the incision, I feel like you can't go wrong with this cream. It has helped me dramatically! Thanks Motherlove for creating a product for us Cesarean mothers!P.S. The photo included in my review is my scar now at 3 months postpartum and about 3 weeks since starting to use this cream. I'm kicking myself for not taking a before photo, but I really didn't like looking at it before!

Buttery Soft
It’s easy to absorbed and buttery soft. Not seeing much difference in my scars appearance yet but doctor said the purple coloring would fade once I stop pumping, would buy again.

Not sure- UPDATED
update: customer service is top notch & I look forward to trying more products from this company.I use this cream at night and silicone patches during the day so I can’t be sure if either or both are working. My scar seems to be healing alright, but no way to know if it’s healing any better than it would be without either of these products. That said, this is a very small jar for the price - I knew that when I purchased it based off other reviews. What I did not anticipate was the jar having a huge trapped air bubble in the middle of the cream resulting in even less product for me. Not thrilled at the price for the amount in my jar.

A must have for all c-section mamas
Very light, non-greasy cream that was great for keeping my c-section scar moisturized.Keeping it moisturized has helped it almost completely heal up to minimal visibility by 10 months pp.

Buy it you won't regret it!
I am so happy I bought this. I had a c section and I haven't put it over the scar but on both sides of it and above, but below belly button where I have bruising and it has MASSIVELY helped the pain. I'm not quite sure what ingredient and I haven't taken the time to look it up to see what has helped with the pain, but I am super happy I've bought this!! Highly recommend!

Didn’t work as I had hoped
I’m always skeptical of creams because I feel like how you scar and recover has a lot to do with genetics. This balm is moisturizing and feels rich but didn’t actually do anything for the physical look of my c section scar. A little goes a long way so it’s worth the money if scarring creams work for your skin.

Works even 3 years later
I didn't find this product until 3 years after my c section - I had already had my second baby and was pregnant with my 3rd when I found this product. It is AWESOME. It goes on nicely, and the packaging is convenient if you want to bring it with you. It helps with itching and others discomforts of c section recovery even years later. Plus my scar looks so much better. I use it once a day, or when things get uncomfortable. Highly recommended!!!
