Awesome tape
The tape is thin enough to be left on after its use and will come off easily if no longer needed. The thin tape, unlike other double-sided tapes, is thin enough to not create a gap so in some cases, I actually left the tape in place after assembling my projects. Also, the ability to tear by hand without a knife/scissor is an additional reason to buy this tape.

Don't Peal Off all of the Shrink Wrap when you open this tape.
I just received my roll of tape and haven't taken it into the woodshop yet but, want to share an immediate observation from pealing away the shrink wrap. As other reviewers have mentioned, the adhesive bleeds through making the sides of the roll sticky and requiring some effort to peal the wrap from the tape roll. To guard against the roll eventually sticking to surfaces including storage, I left one side of the shrink wrap securely adhered the roll trimming away the rest of the wrap from the opposite side and over the outer diameter. This conveniently left the sticker with the product identification attached as there is no printing on the inside of the roll to identify it for future purchase or possibly avoiding buying it again if it later proves to be less than satisfactory.

Just what the doctor ordered
Used to use a similar product every day doing plastic fabrication. Couldn’t find the exact product, but this stuff is darn close. Good adhesion, and not too hard to get up. I would hesitate to use it on a soft wood like pine or Doug fir, as the adhesive is pretty tough, but for router templates it works great.

This stuff sticks like liquid nails
I bought this to use when cutting templates and pieces of wood that need to match up later. Boy, this stuff STICKS! You won't have to worry about your wood shifting. I made the mistake of applying it to the length of a 1 by 4. Apparently you only need inch long strips. VERY strong. Easy to remove unless you've put down a long strip. NO residue left behind. Amazing stuff. I love it!

Great DST for woodworking!
I’ve used half a dozen rolls of this stuff for various woodworking projects. I’ve used it mostly for holding hardboard templates to wood for flush trim routing. I’ve also used it extensively for inlay routing and to hold down panels to sleds for planing thin pieces (down to 1/8”). Tape has never failed. As others have mentioned it is very strong adhesive so don’t over tape or you’ll have great difficulty separating pieces. For sled planing I find 4 small pieces on the corners is all I need to hold down panel securely. If piece is warped badly, I may use a piece or 2 in the middle. I use a rigid putty knife to remove tape between layers. This can be tricky for large thin pieces as they can snap if you are not careful removing the tape. I sometimes have tape residue to remove with scraper, put have never had an issue with adhesive residue interfering with glue up, staining or finishing. Made a set of inlayed blocks (36 total) for my granddaughter cutting the inlay pieces using this tape (see pic). Successfully used on 1/8” thick white oak, maple, walnut, jarrah, blood wood, zebra wood and canary wood. Highly recommend!

Too much cushion for woodworking. Hard to remove.
I build custom guitars. I had a roll of the clear tape that worked great for a long time. I got this and it has not been friendly. It’s a fabric center with slight foamy adhesive on each side. This makes is terrible when you need extra precise alignment and pressure can cause it to smoosh and that causes flex. Also it can be a real pain to remove the massive amount of residue it leaves behind. It does hold well but it’s not good if you want to separate things often.

I adhered a skid-pad with this
My electric unicycle (EUC) came with a roll of skid pad and a roll of removable double-stick tape. The pad kept coming off (learning to ride is pretty abusive), and I couldn't find more tape. I bought this tape and months later the skid pads are still on, and other people have been learning on my unicycle. I think when I take it off I'll need to use some solvent to clean up the gum, but this was cheap and effective.

Very good for woodworking
This is the first tape that I have used that i am 100% happy with.I have used it to fix may work piece to the CNC's spoiler board,Stick templates to wood to use with a router,Hold thin stocks of wood to a sled to pass through my thicknesserThe tape has held up perfectly and it can be removed without leaving any sticky residue or marks. I was a little bummed about paying for this tape HOWEVER, the sticking power of this tape is really good and you do not need to use a lot of it to hold things down securely. Now I know that a roll of this tape will last, I am happy to have bought it. I will buy more when the time comes and I recommend it to anyone who need to hold a work piece or template down whilst woodworking.
