Intuitive Thinking As a Spiritual Path: A Philosophy of Freedom (Classics in Anthroposophy)

One of the best books I have ever read
Rudolf Steiner was a genius. This is a very in depth and challenging read that will help you to really know reality. Whether or not you agree with everything he says, read it with an open mind and really think through the material being presented. Just doing so will grow your intelligence. I find that Rudolf Steiner's written works are a very satisfying read. Truly reading them with an open mind and following his thought process is very enlightening and is itself a form of meditation. Again this is a very challenging read. If you are new to Steiner then I would recommend reading either this book or "How to Know Higher Worlds" (also translated as "Knowledge of Higher Worlds and Its Attainment") first.

Most relevant book in this age
For anyone seeking to define in their own terms what the nature of Truth is, and for anyone who needs a better frame for interpreting life, this is THE book for you. Simple and easy to understand but the profoundness does not outlast it's usefulness.

It's Steiner
I personally cannot bear to read Rudolph Steiner. He writes like a german philosopher -- encapsulating concepts in so many words that one is more likely to give up than to get to the crux of the biscuit. However the ideas are interesting and if you can bear the writing style, you will likely find the book fascinating.

Moral-intuitive Thinking
This Book is very dificult to read. Party because Steiner is obliged to defend himself, but One is dealing with a work that has been constructed to arrive at a position that can lead to imaginative, 'Moral intuitive' Thinking. And that is Quite radical. One is taken in a Journey through Westen philosophy but in a Way where you are at First left to sense how each standpoint Works in your Soul. Out of this doubt, One is taken further. Naturally Steiner gives his own position. But in Reading, all Must be tested. The book's original Titel was Philosophy of Freedom. And this Freedom is built into the work itself.

Behind the title is the question "What is the source of human thinking?"
Steiner takes the reader through multiple streams of thinking concerning the philosophy of life, from the existential father, Kant, to many variation including the German Romantic philosophers. As one to the most brilliant humans to live on the earth from the 15th century onward, Steiner cuts through the illusions dumped upon humanity by the magnitude of pop culture philosophers. This is not a book for the weak minded nor the close minded. However, if an individual is truly interested in advancing his understanding on existence this is an unparalleled volume. When finished, one is deeply impacted an will see the world in a way never before known.

A must read for our time
I was impressed with Rudolf Steiner's process of thinking. His arguments are clear and objective. We are studying it with a group of 9 and we are in chapter 2. It's good to keep an open mind but continually question the group. Each of us in the group has something to share.

interessant
Du coup je laisse les chapitres:Contents:Translator's introductionintroduction by Gertrude Reif HughesPreface to Revised Edition 1918Part I : TheoryThe Knowledge of Freedom1. Will read it again...
It took me a while to read the style of writing and found myself proof-reading as I read it, but I almost cried when realising it was the end of the book. This is why I will read it again!

Found Subject a Bit Heavy
An indepth book about the self observation of the human thinking process. It's a bit on the heavy side - I don't know if the writers concept is easy for most people or myself as well to grasp. It did not hold my interest too long - and I did not complete it entirely.
