Time for Kids: Big Book of Why - 1,001 Facts Kids Want to Know

My 9 year old son got this as a gift and at first glance said he doesn't like Time magazine. He sure has changed his mind. He always asks a lot of questions so this book is perfect for him. Great facts and a lot I didn't know. Very happy with this book. It is fun tor us to read together!

This is a GREAT BOOK. The Easter bunny also shops at Amazon. This is also a great price for this informative, great quality book. It answers a lot of questions and creates alot of great dialogue between kids and parents. My son and I have learned alot together . I think that's very important that he understands there is always something new to be learned even when you get older! Good book with nice pictures & very easy to read print! My son is 7 and enjoys the book during mom and dad time! Highly recommend for sure!

This is a great book for that kid who loves to stand in the kitchen staring at you mom / dad when you are cooking, with that look on there face , yes you all know that look " mom/dad you listening , I have a question for you WHY !!! this was bought for my daughter who always likes to know why this works this way or why they did that that way or just plain why. so this is a must for that kid of yours they will find out WHY the spider spins a web , why is a tsunamis so dangerous , Why oh Why can't we see the air??, things like "How the snow forms, why does oil float on water, why are there bands around Jupiter and my fave from my daughter , "Why do we bleed mom??" this is great for any curious age my daughter is 10 and full of curiosity my son is 7 and just as curious this book covers so many questions and a must for that curious cat of yours !!

First off, I bought this for my son who is 7 and constantly asking me oddball questions that I don't have an answer to without "Googling". I thought this would be a nice book to capture his attention and I was right. He absolutely LOVES this book. He wouldn't put it down and kept telling me about everything as he read it. He was highly interested in the types of questions that were included and found a few that he had been wondering about himself. This is well formatted for kids and for that I give it a big thumbs up. He is an excellent reader but not typically interested in many fiction books so this was a great choice for him. As a parent, I also find the book inviting, the table of contents is well laid out and questions are grouped in to similar topics. However, having read several of the answers, I'd have to say I can't quite give it a 5 star ranking. The answers are good for children, but if your child truly wants an answer they really aren't going to get much more than a paragraph on most topics. The answers appear to be somewhat valid but I would consider them to be just a taste of an answer. There isn't much depth, just a high level answer provided. Overall, great choice for what I personally was looking for---an engaging book to encourage my young reader. If you are looking for super solid content maybe something like an encyclopedia would be a better choice.

My 7 year old loves this book. She is a good reader, but doesn't like reading. But she will pick up this book to learn a blurb about something new. I like it too, it reminds me of things I have long since forgot, and sometimes we read a few sections here and there. She even carries it back and forth to camp for short bus rides where she can learn something new. I love this book too, and I'm waaaay older than 7. I would definitely recommend this book.

My seven year old is glued to this book! He always has something new to tell me after reading, which is an indicator that the book is engaging enough for him to recall what he read. I give it five stars since it has really interesting information, and the book itself has lots of lovely pictures, which makes for a very good book for young ones! I highly recommend it to parents wanting a fun book that is also educational for their youngsters!

Son enjoyed reading this book

My nine year old granddaughter loves this book. She picks it up every time she wants to read, since Christmas day! She is a reader and a good reader...she really loves the tabs at the edge of the book pages that tell you what subject matter is on those pages. She look up whatever she wants to read about at that time. It is a great book and we will probably purchase more of these books.

This is a book filled with interesting facts for young kids. My 7-year old loves reading this book before bedtime and always asking further questions for further clarification or validity.
