I actually did (2) rooms with plank flooring using my miter saw to cut. What a mess. But I had 5 more rooms to do, so I purchased this. Fast, convenient, precise cuts - with no mess. I have already finished 3 of the 5 rooms - highly recommend this tool if you are doing any plank flooring projects! You will be glad you did.

Works as described very accurate very easy to use if you are installing a vinyl floor which I did it worked fantastic. The only issue I have had so far was one of the back screws that hold a support bar fell out but I was able to retrieve it and reinstall it and tighten it up otherwise this cutter is a great product.

It’s useless for ripping planks. I ended up using blue tape over the rulers as index marks to rip.L cuts can be very limited in size due to frames shallow throat depth.At this time, no spare/replacement blade available. I may try to retrofit a planer blade if need be down the roadIn conclusion, I am happy I have this for 90* cuts. It’s very fast and accurate with low mess.

would not cut after about 15 bourds the side screwws that hold the blade assembly seem to broken loose or stripped out duering use not allowing blade to cut bourds i was cutting 1/4 inch laminate flooring non backinghad to go buy one at home depot to finish project over the weekend and extra day i took off work was very dissapointed with product

I'm very pleased with this tool. My primary use case is to cut 24" vinyl "peel and stick" tile for floors and inside of kitchen cabinets. My wrists are getting too weak (old) to constantly be scoring the tile. This tool meets my needs very well. I can cut in multiple directions and with its "wide mouth" I can cut 24" tile long ways and 12" tiles with one clean cut.

Cutting vertically is impossible. So are cut outs. Best for cuts to shorten the boards which can be also made easily with a box cutter.

Excellent product well designed and built - laid 1900 square feet of vinyl waterproof flooring cutting complex angles and straight full length cuts on 70inch planks. Super easy to use and with very little mess compared to traditional power/hand tool options. This is the 10th floor I have laid and I wish I had used this product from the start.

This was perfect for a longboard LVP installation with some long ripping needed. The cutter was awesome for all of 200 sqft, then the blade quickly went out, and the cuts were getting inaccurate and cracking the facade of the LVP. The cutter came with a whetstone, and I attempted to sharpen it, but the blade had some fractures, and even after sharpening it with the included whetstone (600), it never cut the same. If the manufacturer included extra blades - even if you pay more, it would definitely work out well. Mechanically, the cutter was rad, easy to use and set up, light, and the center handle is sturdy and easy to work when the blade cooperated. Bummer this didn't make the full installation, but when it worked (when the blade was good), this cutter was super efficient and practical.

This product was a God send to save time installing my plank flooring. Most cutters on the market only allow cutting across the width. This product allows you to make lengthwise cuts on the flooring planks. Gamechanger! Installed 800sqft and blade still sharp. Great buy.

The media could not be loaded. We bought this on a whim thinking that we probably wouldn’t need it. Day one - used a table saw/jig saw combo to fit our flooring and day two - used this. Absolute night & day difference to the speed of being able to do the floor as well as how much mess we had to clean up afterwards! It was a great purchase!

Good tool, easy to use. It's a lot faster than using a knife or a saw and makes no mess.

This device a game-changer for armature like me but it helps so much in my home reno project. I did portion of flooring without it using circular saw... it was a struggle and was going so slow. With this device, I feel like a pro, I can focus on flooring itself not on cuts, cuts come easy with this. However, my vinal floor planks are a stone composite so U and L shape cuts are a challenge. I think if I new that, I would purchase a different type of vinyl .... but it is. So I recommend this device for people like me, it will make it so much easier. I did one room in no time, I could not believe how faster it was going.

My current project has over 1,500 square feet of LVP - WPC flooring to install so I decided I'd make this round easier by purchasing a flooring cutter. I wanted one that would make regular cuts, but also rip cuts which this item seemed to advertise. On the box it says "perfect for LVP, LVT, VCT, WPC, PVC and vinyl floor and more". Well I tried it on WPC LVP and nope it doesn't cut well at all! Scoring with a utility knife and snapping is far easier than this gadget if you're lucky enough to get it to snap at all. On the BOX it states "lengthwise cuts, notch cuts, you have to cut it in stages by making your cuts at about 1/4 of the thickness at a time in case of floor easy to crack, if you cut all the way through..." Perhaps they should state that in their ad or show a video cutting flooring that you can't bend in half and cut with scissors. This product is very disappointing and is being returned.
